Brand New Track from Grace Jones. This is Life.
JASE....you're up late!
I danced with Miss Jones once....it was a LONG time ago....at the Copa in FTL. LOL
I just got in a while ago. Im a lil drunk. Im blogging at the moment. Love the new Grace song. It sounds like her classic stuff. Thank god she didnt try to sound like anyone else.
I usually don't listen to this genre, but this one's good!
I like this song alot.
I was first turned onto her music by Franc. Franc was a sweet little man who I screwed around with some two decades ago-more than two if truth be told. I wonder whatever happened to him and who now hears the stories about his uncle and the toejam.
Anyway, good to know Grace is still at it, thanks for the update.
Grace Jones - Walking in the Rain
I love Grace Jones. Her album covers alone are works of art.
True so true. I was just reading this is her 1st cd of new music in over 20 years. Her old stuff sounds so good even now.
True, She is a real survivor. My favorites of her songs are , "Slave to the rythym", Pull up to the bumper" and "Nipple to the Bottle" LOL!
I love Grace. I rock Slave to the Rhythm on my workout playlist - so good for the cool down.
After all this time she is still Fierce!
The three most terrifying words in the English language:
GRACE JONES RETURNS!!
Say it ain't so!
Grace Jones is undeniably bad ass, glad to see she is still around.
The track isn't bad.
Side note, I miss Keith Harring's art.
I was just turned onto him. I love his stuff.
she should be banned! she's a walking disasterrrrr!
grace jones is so ultimate!
Ah come on! Grace is fire.
She's not some empty headed pop tart. Lots of artist have copied and are still copying Grace's style.
I love Grace Jones, one of my all time favorite artist. I remember buy the LP of "Do or Die" and getting a lecture from my dad about "wasting money on those kinds of things".
I love her.
Nice. Will have to dig that up.
Have met her a couple times, including jamming with Grace in a studio in the middle of the night in the Haight Ashbury in SF in the mid 90s. Very very cool, very cool lady. Oddly we played a bunch of The Police songs.... I was stuck on bass,... but that was more than fun (given those Sting white reggae lines).
She told me Sade (whom I was huge on) was a bigger heroin addict than I already heard of. Was a bummer.
