While the article is OK, the title of this thread is pure shit.
Both of you post some divisive, incendiary bullshit.

    Jesus.

This article is long as hell... I will post what I thought whenever I get around to finishing it, needless to say, it is VERY interesting.

I read it. If even half of it is true, it confirms what I have been thinking about John McCain for months.

At best he is just a another pol who will say anything to gain power.

At worst he could be another frat boy in the Oval Office. But this time, one with a very bad temper.

All those connections to power, to the lobbyists. The raw ambition unsupported by intellect. It's not a pretty picture and one that frankly scares me.

There's a link on that page to an article called "Mad Dog Palin". It is a mean, incisive and disturbingly spot on piece, about Palin and the state of politics in the U.S.

It's also has some hilarious lines, such as when the author describes her speech to the convention, "It was like watching Gidget address the Reichstag."

    Me neither.
I don't like McCain, but even I won't venture into this political spin. Let's just hope for his sake that it ain't true.

I for one am getting tired of all these mud slinging half truths that both sides try to pass of as the truth. I am all for a law that strictly forbids all campaign adds that aren't the truth. :soapbox: BTW there were a lot a soldiers that were killed by friendly fire in all the wars.

So why are they all getting away with this bull**** ? Example the other day I was listening to a phone conversation between Senator Stevens and his "good friend" Bill Allen who was the owner of VECO a oil Construction company anyways and the Mark Begich people have twisted beyond belief, it just makes me sick to see them getting away with this ****.

Because for every defamation case, the plaintiff must prove the following:
    1. False statement of fact (not opinion)
    2. Harmful to reputation
    3. Publication
    4. Damages
    5. Causation
    6. For public figures only: malice

Me thinks the candidates do not have the time to defend their reputation
