Robert Frost - is there anything he couldn't say in a poem?
Galileo - As a single man, he stood up to the only world super-power of his time: the catholic church. His ideas, it has been proven, weren't new, but his conviction was noble.
Siddhartha Gautama - If people thought Nietche was audacious for declaring the death of one god, Gautama must have been (what's a word that means 1,000 times more audacious than audacious??) really really audacious for declaring the non-existence of THOUSANDS of gods!
yeah galileo is a good one.
id say Ernesto "Che" Guvara. whatever you political leaning his whole life story is amazing and his purist approach to communism makes other leaders seem....uncommunist. shame he is now a consumer good for a system he dispised
Shame he had all those people executed.
I don't think a murderer belongs on this list.
Madge from the Polmolive commercials had her merits!
YouTube - Palmolive - "You're Soaking In It" (Commercial, 1981)
Neither do half the people listed, but everyone has a perspective. Someone took great offense to one of mine in a PM and when I explained my reason they were OK with it!
Good point. I just feel like Mike Brady trying to explain to Bobby why having Jesse James as a hero isn't the best idea.
