Sorry to hear you have stress fractures glb, but I'm glad to see you made it back to say hi since we've missed you too. I hope all has gone well for you besides those fractures, and we're looking forward to hearing more from you.

Sorry about those nasty stress fractures! Rest up, and the time will fly by (I never did boot camp, but friends and relatives all said the same thing, after it was over).

I'm the other old fart on this site. This old fart is different from Pecker and Pappy. Welcome back while you have access to a computer. Hope those fractures heal nicely without any problems.

Thank goodness for old farts. You guys always rock, and I am not that far behind (pun not really intended) and happily look forward to joining the old farts club.

They say that with age comes wisdom. The differences in age, gender, sexual orientation, size, attitude etc. etc. are all what makes this such a great place for people to come and share.

I am glad that our friend in boot camp has a place where he can find people to visit with online, who can provide support, prayers, and thanks for having the guts to do what he is doing for our country.

Take care, godiluvabig1. Keep us posted about where you are and how things are going. Remember that we know you are out there, and that we are sending special thought your way.

Thanks for keeping us informed, gilabig1. Here's hoping you'll see lots of them showering and disrobing :excl: Maybe those sights will have a healing effect on your stress fractures, too.

HI, Hope you have time for those stress fractures to heal. They do hurt. I had them from working many long hours on hard hospital floors way back as a younger
nurse. I did get workmen's compensation for my time off, too.
How much more time in boot camp? Hope it's not long.

Good to hear from you again. As a member of the old farts club I send my greetings also. I hope you heal quickly. As you move through your naval career plan ahead. Strive for a rate that will give you training and experience that you can use in the civilian world. Such training etc. will make your transition much easier and you more successful.
Keep us informed of your progress, you have become a member of a much larger family. We may squabble, but we all look out for each other in some ways. Be careful and God bless.

@ Pecker and Freddie, I AM THE OLD FART , you guys are just wanna be's......LOL One thing about us old farts though, we do stick together and we know of what we speak. Been there, done that, had the T-shirt and wore it out.

@godiluvabig1, good to hear from you. Sorry about the stress fractures though. Just keep us in mind and in your heart and you will never be alone in your endeavors. Keep us posted on your progress. Go for a Rate that is not "Top Heavy" so that opportunities for advancement will be there for you. Enjoy yourself and stay safe.
