Greetings to one and all. I am of Chinese descent, and I am of average height - 5' 4" for a Chinese. Well, average is a range and I fall into the lower end of this range, unfortunately.

Proportionally, my bits and bobs is of a respectable size, but in absolute terms, them bits cannot compare to Caucasians. If I pack 8 inches, I would look rather disproportionate. I like my bits just the way they are.... well, maybe an inch more here and there......

I am sure that I if I were filthy rich, them bits and bobs look excellent whatever their size may be....., rich man's jokes are always funny

Many thanks for your kind words and warm greetings.

On the topic of rich, I read somewhere (Calvin & Hobbes, I think) "I want to be a millionaire, but my father is not working hard enough". I feel the same way.... sigh...

But seriously, I find this group very friendly and helpful.

Madiao (That's Matthew rendered in Hanyu Pinyin) ni hao.

When my parents made me to study Chinese (agony!!), reasoning that 25% of the world's population speak that tongue, I argued that they are all stuck in China. Apparently I have been mistaken.

I used to giggle silently whenever the Chinese writing brush is mentioned. It reminded me of the male appendage - one stiff rod with a lot of hair on its end.

Perhaps that was what inspired me to practice Chinese Calligraphy. However, copying the Chinese words is one thing, reproducting them from memory is another. Give me English anytime, 26 letters and you are home free!

There are a lot of Chinese speakers here in the San Francisco Bay Area - most of them speak Cantonese (I also speak a little). But write it? That's another question entirely!

    Hope you enjoy LPSG.
