My wife and I like to start off with slow grinding working up to her on top riding my penis. She will usually have her first orgasm this way. Then she says it's "your turn", this means she is ready for some hard pounding. Hi Dr.

We haven't ever considered using Viagra/Cialis etc. My husband doesn't have ANY issues getting an erection (LOL&#33. Also, I just don't think it is worth the potential side effects (i.e. cardiovascular) just to give him/me an extra few minutes. He can do a slow grind forever without cumming. When we get into the really hard pounding he can go for at most probably five minutes...that is five minutes of continuous pounding. He can go quite awhile with short bursts of pounding mixed in with the slow grind. However for me to really max out with orgasms I like to have a fairly long period of pounding. I do admit that we use dildos all the time and I love it. Particularly when he is going down on me at the same time...heaven!

RE: medications for impotence. While it certainly does depend on the person, it's likely that your husband would stay hard after he cums. So we're not talking about just a few minutes difference here. As you know, many men who do not have erection problems experiment with these kinds of pills. (Though I will admit, they're not for me either.)

Randarak: I have found that a mixture of grinding and pounding makes for the best experience. One needs to judge one's partner to determine what is called for. Although, pounding generally seems to be demanded after a certain point!
