Ohh ty, added

I can see my night reading time diminishing as I eat up all this mindless tv. I like it though it's easiest to digest at this point plus, I love the ability to binge

Yeah, I work from home so I've been consuming tons of good TV in the background. I can't really watch the subtitled ones during the day, but I've watched a lot of really good documentaries (and a ton more queued up).

Sometimes I like to play true detective season 1 in the background while working. I would not call that a guilty pleasure (I think it's a solid show, great acting, good script, cinematically interesting). Listening to rust "time is a flat circle" cohle and Marty's well meaning self importance soothes me somehow. And I always find the time to take about 15 minutes to watch that one uninterrupted scene in episode 4. Man, that gets me every. Damn. Time!!

Currently, 90 day fiance. Every episode of this show is a trainwreck of proportions that dwarf anything that ever aired on Jerry Springer. It's a horrible show full of horrible people and it's such a joy to watch and be able to say "Well, at least we're not that far gone"

In recent years past I guess maybe Hemlock Grove on Netflix? Occasionally terrible writing and some of the most laughably bad CGI I've ever seen in a show (just in a couple of episodes, but oh man was it bad), but it's a pretty setting and a lot of the cast is fun to watch.
I watch that, too. Total train wreck!

I also watch Big Brother. Canadian and U.S. versions. Crap T.V. at its best. But at least you don’t have to really pay attention to it. Good background stuff.

Lately? I Need Romance/In Need of Romance. I've been watching k-drama for language immersion

I Need Romance - Wikipedia

Btw I watched the first eppie last night and I'm SO loving it! There's just one season??? Sad.

I'm in love with sweet potato.

There's 3 in my Netflix. Not sure if they're 3 seasons of the same story, or 3 different storylines for the same show/concept.

I found 3 of them as well. I added "in need of romance 3" to my queue and watched ep. 1.

Shingshing and sweet potato are so perfect. I found myself crying so hard. I get the impression they were so hardcore perfect for each other but she turned so cold.

I'm still working my way through Kantaro (thnx @Fade). It's delightfully silly.

Anything on TLC - My 600lb Life, Dr. Pimple Popper, Skin Tight. Various Worlds blankest blank.

They are all wildly voyeuristic and without much educational value *TLC = The Learning Channel* I do honestly cheer the people on to happier lives. So I am not a total misery porn junkie.

There's an I Need Romance 2 and I Need Romance 3 at the very least. I'm most of the way through 1
