This was a cute video to watch and warmed the heart, but I came away with mixed emotions on it.
I'm not too knowledgeable about raccoons (maybe someone here who has been close to them, or even raised them could enlighten me), but I've always believed it was never really a wise thing to feed the wildlife because they lose their natural instinct to forage and become dependent upon humans. This is bad for the animal.
The other thing I noticed was how plump and rotund those raccoons were, they were obviously being overfed! Although, maybe the extra fat helps them in the wintertime?
One thing is for sure: 25 raccoons are more than likely the best home security you could get if someone broke into his house! Raccoons are not to be trifled with.
