you know I never really had a problem until yesterday at the gym ( well actually the pool locker room). So when I'm done swimming laps in the morning usually I'll just head over to the locker room shower up quickly and be ready for the day. The gym that I frequent now has a common changing area and open showers. There are 3 urinals located just outside the entrance of the showers and I think nothing of relieving myself (butt naked) first before stepping into the shower area. Try 15 years ago or less...far less than a generation ago. I noticed the trend on large university campuses.

If I had to bet money I would probably list the sexualization of the male body (which reached full steam about then, in the 90s) as 1 of the top factors.
