I had a circumcision a year ago to treat a skin condition. Prior to that I'd seen a lot of cut guys discussing what lubes they use to masturbate on these forums and thought I might have to start lubing up myself once I was cut.

I was (pleasantly) surprised to find that I didn't. Jacking off pretty much the same way I always had when I was uncut was just as pleasurable as before. Also I produce basically no precum, so there's no 'natural alternative' at work.

So I wanted to ask, do you guys who use lube do it as a necessity to prevent discomfort or is it just a preference / to enhance pleasure? Is being able to j / o dry when cut the norm?

A bit of both. I find it much nicer with lube. I probably could do it dry if I really really wanted / needed to but find doing it dry takes forever and eventually gets sore. Whereas using lube makes for a much more pleasurable experience.

Do you have alot of skin movement left over? I think it depends on how you are circumcised and how tight the skin is and such like which makes things different for each person.

It was a full circ, there's a 'ruff' of skin up round the bottom of the skin when flaccid but that stretches out when I'm hard. There is still a bit of skin movement on the shaft but the head is always fully exposed as I jack it.

Where would get sore for you masturbating dry? The head presumably?

Very much the way I found masturbation after my 1969 circumcision. I do have precum after a while which is nice but it is toward the end but is nice to have for edging the masturbation on up for a while.

I use Nivea face creme for men. Not exactly a lube becuas efor it to work I have to apply it twice a day and not necessarily right before masterbating. My circumcision cut is along the shaft, basically just opening the curtain rather than cutting the skin so I still emjoy the extra skin without staying uncut...if that makes sense. I never used any sort of lube or moisturizer until 2 yrs ago when I reached 30 because that's when my skin became drier and drier I started bruising myself when I jack off.

Yeah if I rub it dry after about 30 mins or so it will start getting red and then it doesnt feel very pleasurable. Usually on the top of the head that faces me where I rub finger over it. I also have this fear that I am wearing down the head if I keep doing it. I like to use lubes but also sometimes different oils and lotions not just to help masturbation pleasure but to help keep the glans from getting too dried out.

I am skin tight on full erection so mainly rub the head. I do the traditional pulling of shaft skin to go from soft, semi to hard and then rub the head there on.

My guess is you have some slack which makes it possible for you.

There are masterbation creams available at sex shops and online. Favourites include: Gun Oil stroke 29, swiss navy, wicked.Brands may vary depending on your country but its specially formulated for jerking off. Lube is good for sex but can get sticky when jerking off.

I tried Gun Oil once... its good on your dick but I spilt some on the cabinet and it took ages to get the lube off - its still slippery even today. :grinning:

Very pricey for small bottle though!

I've tried lubrication, both cut & uncut and couldn't get into it. I prefer just my hand, like to be able to get some traction y'know? Also I like to keep the preparation / planning required for having a wank to an absolute minimum!

Great info about tightness of the shaft skin from you guys though. I always assumed it was something to do with the head, I didn't even realise cut guys having tighter skin on the shaft was a thing. Thanks, every day's a schoolday.

In my experience the foreskin is only irritated when no lubricant is used. I masturbate the first 37 years 3mai daily for 65 years. So far I had never had any problems. Important is the one in masturbation to cleanliness respects, i. Before and after masturbation wash hands and penis. For masturbation I have been using butter for many years. Butter is skin-friendly and allows the foreskin to slide smoothly. With these measures I keep the penis always operational, which is very important for me as a habitual masturbant. After cleaning the glans, I close the foreskin.

I have basically zero skin movement and never got into lube. Just find it messy. Focusing on the shaft and the area where my frenulum would have been does it for me, as well as using a lighter grip than what most uncut guys I assume use.

As sem cut never used lube. just move skin up/down with it covering a part of glans on upstroke.
Once fully cut, I obviously evolved technique, at first trying to move skin up/down by instinct. Eventually moved to grabbing ahft with finger just below rim of head and moved up/down so fingers would rub rim of head. there wasn't much movement but that was plenty.

In 2018, got tightened up, at which point, the brain really adpated quickly to runbning glans and shaft. Used lube only when sweaty as hand wouldn't glide eaily. (I ceremoniously bought a jar of almond oil when UI got furst full circ and used it so seldom that it became rancid before bottle was empty , then switched to coconut oil).

When I used lube, I woudl usually try it dry and then switch to lube. Last december, once day I used liube. the next day I used it, and so on. This was not a consciious decision. It happened casually. By mid january, I realised I hadn't done it dry for a month and decided to continue. By now, I get hard and then quickly apply lube. it's become part of my j/o routine.

Bigger question is what5eher I now "need" lube to j/o because it is part of my instinct or not. But having come from being anti circ to now being cut tight with no skin movement, mo frenulum and using liube to do, I have really fit the "poster boy" for the anti circer depiction of the circumcised male :)

I am still on concun oil. (also acts as thermmeter, in summer it is liquid, and in winter it is semi solid libe butter and melts on your glans).

I do it both ways. When I want it to last I don't use lube. I just jerk the shaft without stroking the head like this.

When I lube up I stroke across the head. Feels better but makes me cum quicker

Without a foreskin, you miss a lot of feeling because you don't include the glans in masturbation. The prudish Americans originally introduced circumcision to curb masturbation. That doesn't work as we know. But out of ignorance, the circumcision continued. Fortunately, this bad habit is also subsiding in the USA.:)

Uncut and if I use water based or hybrid water/silicone based lube it dries and goes tacky pretty quickly, end up applying loads and it just becomes a mess and I lose the pleasurable feeling. Some sort of oil might work better for me but that rules out condoms. Not keen on silicone type stuff, doesn't quite feel right on my dick and is hard to wash off. Still looking for the perfect lube...

I'm circumcised by choice and it's a tight cut, so there's little skin movement on the shaft. I like jerking it dry or with lube - it gives different sensations both ways. Either way it's very intense and I love it.
