IMO, a sex act doesn't determine your sexual orientation. A gay man can have sex with a woman and still be gay, and a straight man can have sex with a man and still be straight.
My friends and I have talk about this subject before, and surprising there was alot of different opinions and emotions about selfsucking. Some said doing that makes you gay, others disagreed. I don't think it's a "well that makes you gay" or "it's like masturbation," I think self sucking requires a certain level of security and confort with your body, and some people just don't have that kind of security.
Not saying this is what it is, but it could be a contributing factor I think.
