When I am not totally hard I am only about 8 inches. When I am really hard I am almost nine inches. With women that I am comfortable with I grow to the larger harder size. But when not totally relaxed or comfortable at 8 I can still insert it into a vagina. This difference is the difference between large average and large. I have also been with women who think I am huge. Althoug I would not consider myself huge.
I am only 7 inches erect length, but my girth is nearly 8 inches at the base and 7.5 inches right behind the head.

The question here is hung vs. well-hung I believe. I would place myself in "hung" not "well-hung" classification

Someone produced a very revealing penis volume chart a while back. Sorry I can't remember the location. But anyway, it showed, I think, that an 8 x 6 has twice as much volume as a 6 x 5. I think we guys can think, what's the big deal, it's only 2 x 1 bigger than the average, but as I say, it's actually double the volume. Guys like the thickestone above can be say four times the average volume, because the girth is the predominant factor. A 9 x average isn't really that hung, though most owners would think so.
A final thought. A lot of guys here for whatever reason have few sexual partners. If I had only slept with the smallest five women that I have known, I would consider myself enormous, however if I had only slept with the largest five women, I would consider myself at best average. I have this buddy, and he's what I would call "Well Hung". He's never actually measured it, and I have yet to whip out a measuring tape on him...but it's 7.5 to 8 long x at least 6 around...probably closer to 6.5...with a BIG huge knob.

It's all a matter of perception. Check the variety on any clothing-optional beach. I believe well-hung should relate to proportional appearance with the body.
