When I was in the pharmacy dept. of my friendly neighborhood Wal-Mart this morning I noticed that the displayed box of Magnums had dust all over it.
The Magnum XL's, however, did not.
It might make marketing sense to raise the price of the XL's when placed next to the plain Magnums.

Curiously, in one local supermarket (Albertson's), the Magnum XL are cheaper than the plain Magnum. The XL are a bargain at $7.99 a box, while the plain Magnums are $12.99. Trojan has started putting a bonus two extra condoms in the plain Magnums, but the price per condom is still less for the XL. This is the only local store that has a discount on the XLs. I get annoyed when they are sold out (as they have been for the last two weeks), because I have to pay full or inflated price elsewhere.
