I saw a guy at the gym tonight with the left leg of his sweatpants rolled up exposing his lower leg. No visible bandages or injury. What would be the purpose of this? He was Asian and looked to be in the 18-20 age range. I've never seen anyone do that before.

I have sweatpants with elastic bands at the ankles. I don't particularly like the feeling of my ankles being squeezed so I just hike up the pant legs to my calves. Which begs the question of why did I purchase said sweatpants... because this was the style available, I couldn't not buy them because I didn't have much choice.

But I'd say the dude is trying to be trendy haha, I kinda like my sweatpants hiked up a bit :D

Well, you could have always bought spandex shorts instead, and show off that nice bulge of yours. Just a thought!

If they are training calf's, it could be a blood construction approach (keep blood in the muscle while working out) which is supposed to enhance the workout. It is more common to be done in arms / biceps though...
