Gym guys, your opinion please!

I've been working out a lot and have recently gotten into Insanity, which involves lots of jumping and plyometrics and whatnot. One thing I've found is that even with my usual boxer briefs, my meat is swinging all over and slapping my thighs. Normally I don't mind that, but in the gym with a mirror in front of me and other people around, I feel pretty self conscious. Plus, that much movement might result in some unwanted... public firmness.

I have a few pairs of Nike Pro Combat shorts, but I feel like those just squash by dick and balls down between my thighs and don't provide much comfort. Well endowed gym rats, please help!

Get yourself some good supportive briefs. Forget about boxers or boxer shorts. They will never hold you in place or keep you comfortable. I'm guessing with that much movement you might want some good support. I recommend Calvin Klein hip briefs. I like the 100% cotton ones. But they also make them with micro fibre if that is what you prefer. Good luck and have fun with your work outs!

I go to the gym and workout as well. I have heard of this Insanity and how great it is for your body..Telling from the pics.yes you are having a problem with that amazing cock bouncing around...Buying a jockstrap does help and will also protect it from bouncing. I'll come by and help to make sure it fits right??

I wouldn't go as far as a jockstrap, but I'm also a younger guy.. and we're not very pro-jockstrap anymore.

Compression shorts would be the most accepted "helper" but really all comes down to what you feel comfortable in.

there are some good jockstraps out there new fabrics and styles, I always work out with a jock. I do a few polimetric classes so know the bouncy issue.

I can relate to your issue. When doing some leg exercises (like clean and jerks) while wearing my usual boxer briefs, my dick swings forward and I end up hitting my dick with the bar as I bring the bar up. It doesn't hurt but it certainly is distracting. So I would suggest my solution to the problem: a boxer jock. This is what I got:

Men’s The Original 9” Boxerjock

I didn't try compression shorts so I can't comment on them, but these are reasonably comfortable to wear and keep things in place, at least for me.

Jock strap is where it's at. Supportive briefs are another solution but honestly don't support the balls as well as a jock over the full course of a plyo workout.

for your size I'd recommend duct tape - lots of it
Hahahaha, that'd probably take my leg hair with it, but I appreciate the creativity!

Looks like I'm going to be trying out a jock and some under armor jock boxer jocks! I think I'll probably wind up with the boxer jock, because I like compression shorts, but there's no room for my cock in there and it just ends up smooshed or awkwardly in front of one of my legs, and that's just asking for someone to stare at it.

If I was hung as beautifully as you, I'd say screw it and throw away all of my underwear. Have confidence in your amazing package. Dicks like that are meant to swing free and be appreciated.

Don't get me wrong, I don't mind it producing a bit of a bulge; but when I'm in the gym and it's swinging around so much that it distracts me from my workout, I gotta tie that thing down somehow.

No Response
Dunno if this helps, but in the past, when I had more shame than I do now, I tried various different things to keep my junk from being obvious at the gym. Nothing was both comfortable and helpful. So, part of me figured I should just do what was comfortable (shorts that were long enough that nothing would fall out, and made of heavy enough cotton that nothing obvious showed through). Then I started jogging and discovered how things would just tighten up down there automagically after a few minutes. Turns out it's a natural response to keep things from getting damaged. So, if I was to do anything at the gym that would be bulge-intensive, I'd go for a quick jog first. It didn't eliminate the issue, but I didn't look like I was showing off, either.
