Went to see the movie today and was totally blown away by it. I got to confess, I have never get emotional at movies, but I was a blubbering mess at the end of this movie, I don't know what the fuck happened to me lol. it was embarrassing, I could not pull myself together and was walking through the Mall afterwards with my other half and I was still blubbering.
Defiantly worth seeing

Andrew Garfield was amazing in this role and he is sexy as fuck to boot ;-)

There was also another Character "Hollywood" played by Luke Pegler who was super fucking hot with amazing body and ass, shame they didn't go the full frontal, sorry couldn't find a pic for that scene yet or I would have posted.

I agree. I don't like Mel Gibson, but the battle scenes in this movie are very well directed and gory. Just like it is. Remember war is hell. Lots of eye candy. Andrew is so beautiful, but he must be pencil thin. If you like to blubber at the movies see Patriot's Day. I was fine through the whole movie, but you are building up your emotions until the epilogue where I lost it. Good eye candy here too.

I'm no fan of Mel Gibson either, thankfully he stayed the other side of the lens.
Your right about the battle scenes, they were fantastically done. I don't even usually like war movies, I only went to see this one as it was my other halfs turn to pick a movie and oddly his 75 Year old Mother recommended seeing this, which is kind of strange as i did not think this would be the sort of movie I could imagine her watching, I am sure she will get a kick out of it when my other half tells her I was a blubbering mess at the end because I think she thinks I am about as emotional as a rock lol.

Andrew is a beautiful looking guy and he brought a lot of endearing quality to this character.

Thanks for the tip on Patriots day. it does not get released here in the UK till 23rd February, so I will put that on the list for one to watch;)

Who's that naked guy? Omfg

Luke Pegler
He's an Aussie actor, he's been in Neighbours and Home & Away and also Spartacus: Gods of the Arena.

I'd never seen him before.

This photo's don't really do him justice, he looked hot as hell in the movie, really buff.

Hopefully someone on here might know more about him or able to dig up some more revealing pics ;-)

I know I am probably asking for a spoiler but why is he naked in the film?

Basically the guys is supposed to be hung like a mule and an exhibitionist and he is doing naked chin ups in the dorm. The drill sergeant walks in, everyone is ordered to immediately go outside to do drill exercises and so he is forced to do it butt naked.

Not to much of a spoiler I hope ;-)

I saw this movie yesterday and my opinion of it is that's boring as hell. I didn't know it was part war/part religious and it literally felt like two movies in one: the first hour was the religious part and the second hour was the war part. It really felt that divided to me.
Why this was nominated for Best Picture I will never know.

I wouldn't have gone so far as to say it was half religious, seems like a slight bit of exaggeration there, there was a small part that was required to set up the story line, this was based on a true story after all and without it the story would not have made sense.

But hey were all have different tastes, that's what makes life so interesting.
I am not into either religion or war movies, but this movie absolutely moved and touched me from all angles
