Hair Removal Warning

2564male: Somewhere on this board I remember someone recommending "Magic Shave" for removing genital hair. Well I wasn't able to find it at the store, but I did buy some Nair Hair Removal for Men today. I just noticed on the back of the tube it says: "Do not apply to the following areas . . . . . . , genitals, etc." Has anyone tried it? What was your experience? Is there a danger using it to remove hair from your scrotum? Their online site warned that the alcohol in the cream could seep through the skin and burn your balls. But I don't remember the Magic Shave user on this board complaining.

Advice ??? Thanks.

Jim22cm: I've been using Veet or Streps for a while (two of the bigger brands in Holland) and I didn't have a problem with it. The directions also tell you to test it on a small piece of skin !! and wait at least until a day after it to see if your skin becomes irritated ...

I used the inside of my arm to test it, that too is a sensitive piece of skin !! If you don't have any irritations, you can try it on your cock/scrotum.
Do'nt leave it on too long ... try 5 minutes first, 10 minutes the next week ...

2564male: Thanks people!

Amy - Yah, I agree. But in that case you were using it around an opening to internal organs which are much more sensitive to touch than external organs, so I can understand the danger.

Jim - I'll try just a wee bit and see what happens. ;)

BIGBOYDAVE: I just use my face razor the Mack 3 Turbo and Dove soap when i shower
everything is nice and soft and warm
never cut or scratched myself yet just go slow
" I also face shave same way in shower it sure saves money on buying all those cans of face shaving cream . I figured it out by accident when a few years back I used to shave the head above my shoulders daily and thought why not try other areas as well .
I only trim pubs with scissors and do scrotum and shaping with razor

aj2181: Don't use nair. The shit burns and hurts like hell. I didn't use it on my balls but my g/f begged me to use it on my chest. If it hurts that bad on my chest I can't imagine what it feels like on yur balls.

Solis24: I haven't done it in a long time but I used to use the Neet cream. Just the cheap 4$ thing from the drugstore. Never got any problems with it whatsoever EXCEPT that I had to put vaseline on my nipples and my cockhead because that was seriously painful. didn't know that the first time and got some on my nipples and it caused such pain and irritation... Did not have any problems with my scrotum, although that should also have been sensitive.

aussiechick63: The best thing I have found lately to remove all my pubic hair is the Veet bikini cream. I never have a problem with burning and I have never bothered to test it first. It gives the smoothest result. Give it a go.

That sounds just like the conformation I was looking for AussieChick. I mean overtly, you can't just use a name brand like NAIR, and not expect to have something happen. I've heard about some girls who did and it burned their privates. Talk about fried clams! But safety must also be used despite that even with veet. Myself, I happen to have this compulsion to follow the directions and leave the stuff on in the time directed, then clean up with warm soapy water.

aussiechick63: Hi massive. I'm not sure which veet you are using, but the hair removal cream does say you can leave it on for up to ten minutes before removing.
I always leave mine on for about 8 or 9 minutes.

robbnks: I have used it without problems. It all depends on your skin's sensitivity to the product. Try a small area first before lathering up. Good luck.

Well, I'm currently trying the lotion they have, and you're right, Aussie, it does say the maximum is ten minutes, so next time I will do that, but like always, I will keep some warm water handy to rinse it off :)
