Hanging Down the Leg

ewing: I usually wear boxer briefs with jeans, shorts and khakis, but I wear boxers with formal closthes (suits, texedos, dress pants) and shove my cock down my left leg. But I hate it when my cockhead hangs below the leg of the boxers!

ewing,

I hear you, believe me!

This is where I submit that we remind ourselves--you and I and everyone who "hangs" overly-extended beyond the limits of fabric down under there..."be proud that we have what we've got!"

Apparently, there are A LOT of other guys out there---
who would GLADLY trade places with us any day. ;)

Amen! I would love if my cock hung below my boxers instead of poking out the hole like it does. :p

freeballer_au: I sleep in boxers and first thing in the morning I'm usually stiff and poking out the front. After I relieve myself and get dressed I usually hang down the left leg, the meat and potatoes just seem to go there of their own accord.

emilywee: i live in los angeles and go to the gym 5 days a week. i notice a lot of guys who look like they're freeballing, and the interesting thing is none of the ones I notice are wearing shorts, but they wear long athletic sweatpants or track pants. i've been gone to a few different gyms the last 5 or 6 years and notice this trend more and more. it's pretty outrageous, these guys have to know they are swinging around all over the place.

Well, emilywee, I suppose I could simply say here: "guys will be guys" but, that probably wouldn't suffice would it?

I am more comfortable with the premise that guys can "freeball" in a gym setting more so than in say "other" public settings. As men, however, I think we do have to be mindful, considerate and respectful (even in a gym), that our "bulging and swinging" may indeed be offensive to some...women and even certain "fellow" men as well! Whatever their reasons, these other people DO deserve respect. As men, it's going to be OUR judgment call, really.

As to "other" public settings (i.e. workplace, school, shopping malls, stores, arenas, etc .) I believe discretion MUST rule the decision, especially. There are certain standards and codes of decency that have been in place for years. Circumventing those is almost certainly asking for trouble, invariably. So, guys-- is showing off REALLY worth those risks we might be taking? --even perhaps LEGAL ones at that! (Recall the previous thread on indecency charges being levied against a few of our members for seemingly the most innocent of actions and situations in simply showing a bulge) Archaic laws and codes? Yes. But, they DO exist regionally across the U.S.....seldom known and publicized ones at that.

"Freeballing" for the sake of comfort is one thing....doing it for other reasons as "exhibiting and flaunting".....that's quite another.

emilywee: hey benderten
it definitely seems like a trend. not that I'm complaining, i'm just wondering if these guys like the ones i see at the gym realize how much is showing down there. They act pretty oblivious, it does make me wonder what the socially accetaple amount of floppage is!

Well...at the great risk of "dominating" this thread
(it seems!) I will offer yet further comment with the understanding that as I get older, it's becoming more difficult to not speak up sometimes.

--So, is that good or bad? ;D

--I don't know if these guys are TOTALLY oblivious or not... I won't venture a guess on their behalf.

With me, I DO know to some degree--
(I can sense the "weight" and the "action" when I move.) And, I'm almost certain others notice, too.

As to the "social acceptance" of "floppage" I still contend it's NOT going to be considered in "good taste" in general----period. I know I am not "man enough" (speaking of COURAGE here, folks!) to "push the envelope" any further than I have to. I AM going to try to use good judgment as it relates to dressing for "where" I'm going to be publicly, as best I can.
As I noted earlier, I am more accepting of my "showing" in a gym setting than probably anywhere else I could list here. However, in "other" situations, I am more careful. My conscience dictates that I must be.

I see all of this as a "two-pronged" challenge for men, really.

(1) The need for us larger guys to be comfortable in our clothing while at the same time NOT feeling too embarrassed that we ARE men and that for many of us, we ARE going to show some kind of bulge---we just can't avoid it. (I went most of my life scared silly to show ANY bulge. I gave up on that notion only a few years ago in my mid forties!) Mind you, I have not resorted to becoming a flagrant exhibitionist; but instead have merely accepted the fact that I AM going to show to some degree --no matter what I do.

(2) The second point (which I made in the earlier post and hate to repeat it!) is that common decency and local moral climates, codes, ordinances, and public standards of "expected decency and behavior" ALL must be respected.

Each of us in this forum may enter whatever lively discussions we choose to regarding this whole matter "of showing a bulge"--discussing it until the cows come home, in fact...but we're NOT going to change the world about this. We have to accept there are going to be (and ARE) limits to our actions when and where other people are concerned.

By the way, for those of you who might be wondering...

We call this concept; this "premise" ...living in a society.

I have always gone down the right leg as long as I can remember, as you can see from my photos.

it's just the way it is, I do have a very slight curve to the left so that's why I go down the right leg I guess... so it feels centered or something, If I was caught off-balance I could fall over !@!! lol

Going down the left leg just feels strange to me.

Of course depending on th epants yu wear make it more noticeable than others. If I want to show I can wear right pants and everytone can see without any problems , if I want to hide it I just wear baggier pants, it isn't as immediately noticeable in baggy pants obviously. but it's there if you know what to look for.

Late_Bloomer: I know that when I go to the gym, I wear pretty revealing shorts, but not because I'm trying to show my junk off so much as because it's the best thing to wear for working out.

Typically I wear black polyester shorts because I ride the bike in addition to lifting weights. Spandex, the pants of choice for many, and those lycra/spandex pants you were talking about, emilywee, I find to be too much.

Admittedly, the polyester shorts leave little to the imagination, and I'm very aware that you can quite clearly see that distinctive mushroom shape about halfway down my thigh, but honestly, I'm not going to try to hide it when I'm working out. If that's perverse for some reason, then I'm sorry. However, I could say that sports bras are perverse, when clearly they're just more functional.

Bottom line is that these types of shorts/pants are the most comfortable and flexible thing for working out at the gym, and they give you a little (or a lot) of eye candy too. So it's good for all sides! ;D

The only thing that kind of freaks me out is the hairy gay guy that spends hours in the showers watching guys shower. If he could be any more blatant about staring it would be an art form. :-[

dotadone: ???this is too crazy, i've been racking my poor little brain to think of why i get so embarassed if i'm showing bulge(s) or not ...i think it is a society wide plot...first of all there is not a lot of accomadation for the well endowed when pertains to comfy clothing, i really think it is the small penis that causes this penis shyness syndrome, as in -don't want to look like a freak or perv, anger or god forbid offend anyone. That is denial gents plain and simple. To be proud and wear what you have like you should that is the big one talking, or what it would say if it could talk... 8)

meathose10: I for one AM proud I've got the big one and I let it show....I think there IS a society wide plot going to try to keep us big boys "down'...And it must come from the men with small penises who are bitter about their lack - because women sure like to see a hefty bulge in the jeans....To be fair , a lot of men are admiring as well when it comes to evident super-size. As for comfortable clothing - if you repeatedly wash old levis in fabric softener they'll hug your cock nicely - cling and show the outline of the tube slopping around all sex-thick on your inner thigh.....Feels great too! It cups and caresses as you walk...

emilywee: this hanging down the leg thing has been a discussion for some time, and i've added my 2 cents along the way. but now i realize that so much of it is our society's double standards towards men revealing their assets in comparison to women.

i think men who "show" through their pants is totally sexy, and i can't wait for it to become the next fashion statement (sometimes i think it is beginning to). i think walking around with a big hard on is another issue and going overboard, but if a guy is hung why can't he show it off just like a woman with big boobs? i think the extra baggy pants are played out and would love to see more guys in tight jeans and thin stretchy fabrics like polyester and light wools.

do others agree or think this will ever happen?

kyle: I'm with you, em. I enjoy wearing thin-fabric pants. It feels good on my "stuff" and my ass looks great! I also like to see others (men and women) wearing thin fabrics. I think the body is beautiful and it's so nice to see those materials clinging and sliding around the flesh.

There are instances of this kind of thing in history. I'm thinking of the codpiece fad in particular, which peaked in the 15th century. Men wore very prominent bulged coverings between their legs. Their functional invention was to make it easier for guys to relieve themselves, but it soon became a competition to see who had the biggest and boldest. It was socially acceptable for many, many years.

Now, to be fair, codpieces weren't truly revealing because anyone could make any sized package they wanted, but it does show that society at one point condoned such a prominent display of masculinity. It may still again. (Let's hope ;) )

11.5: I am about 5'6" and weight 145# or so. My cock is 7.5" long soft, and 11.5x7 erect. On the once in awhile occaisions that I freeball I have found that my glans can be sensitive and easily stimulated. With a semi hanging down my leg I am easily 9" or so. It's fun hanging like that but also makes me show a big tentpole.

I agree with 11.5 who just posted. We seem to have the same dick and believe me it's a problem now and then to hide it. I hang about 8 soft and thick and if I'm going to a professional meeting or dinner with my parents or church or whatever Ihave to try and hide my dick. I usually wear a jock for these times but when I'm home or just chillin I let my dick and balls hang free. I don't care if people look, cuz they've looked since I was a kid. I just don't let my stuff hang out of shorts though.

joe22xxx: I just don't wear tight pants or jeans. Otherwise the bulge looks really weird. Also it's not very comfortable for me.
