The great thing about Christmas in the UK is that EVERYONE says Happy Christmas no matter what their beliefs.I personally know of two Muslim children who were in a nativity play, which apparently is quite common!....Do not go down the PC path of thinking Muslims etc are offended by such things, cos most a'int.I'd rather say have a 'Cool Yule' than 'Happy holidays' and thats saying something!!!!

I have no problem with saying what a holiday is. Hanukkah is easy because it lasts so long. Today is the third day! I'm not so threatened by any religion that I'm offended by being offered sincere greetings in the spirit of a holiday.

So Happy Hanukkah!

i say happy holidays because i'm lazy. that's it. there's no other reason. it's easier than saying happy hanukkah, merry christmas, happy kwanzaa, and happy new year all at one time.

however, on the days that the holidays do fall i will greet with the proper holiday greeting. for example, this past hanukkah, i said happy hanukkah. then on december 25th, i will say merry christmas. but when it's not on the actual date, i just go with happy holidays.
