I've noticed that in a lot of porn the men are quite sizable and often can't get full-on hardness -- there's often significant "play" (flexibility) with their shafts. But, I'm wondering, many of these guys are so girthy that maybe it doesn't matter? I know vaginal wall pressure is the desideratum for many of the women here, so I put it to you ladies:

Which is better: a rock hard penis (which is perhaps of average girth) or a softer but girthier penis? I know there's a trade-off here and it would be hard to give any kind of, uh, firm guidelines :rolleyes:, but let's say you have three guys:

* Contestant A: 5" around, rock hard
* Contestant B: 5.5" around, firm but not rock hard
* Contestant C: 6" around, a bit "bendy"

Who would probably be the preference, all other things being equal?

Finally, if a guy is really girthy, would rock-hardness actually be a drawback? Do you need the penis to have some "give"?

(I have seen dildos of various firmnesses, so no clear answer there.)

Thanks,
Kev
(closest to Contestant B :wink:)

Girth is king, so I should choose C - but I would expect something to be wrong if "it" wasn't rock-hard (or at least firm). Still, even though a less hard cock would feel strange, I would go for the girth. Unless we are talking BJs - then I would choose A - I would like it rock-hard.

I do not need the penis to less than rock-hard - not even with the larger guys. The best feel comes from a hard penis - not a sloppy John Holmes semi-hard.

I've had a number of twosomes recently, and so I've had a chance to directly compare the feeling of smaller/harder dicks to my mate's larger-but-bendier dick.

For example, see this photo.

Conclusion: It didn't really matter to me. :wink:

I'm not a size queen. My weakness is athletic bodies. Older guys who have great abs (and dirty minds) are probably the sexiest creatures on Earth!

I'd have thought most women would be feel insulted, upset or disappointed that the guy they're with doesn't have a rock hard cock. It almost says to the woman, "I don't find you that much of a turn on", be it true or not. And surely one of the major turn ons for a woman is to see how excited her partner is by gauging how hard he is, regardless of size. Of course in reality, we guys all know that various circumstances affect how hard we get and doesn't always reflect how much the woman turns us on.

I have to say in my past experience with women, that girth has to make a difference, and not to brag but with my girth I am 6.75 inches around and have met women online who ask for pictures and then want measurements, every time they sound excited at the thought of getting a thick dick inside them.

The only drawback to girth is making it fit, its not an issue will it fit, of course it will fit the vagina is a wonderful adapter to size, but its the time it takes to get in sometimes, and the amount of lube that is used as well...I have to say you cannot be a semi erect and thick, or you will get a S-curve put in your shaft which can lead to damage and pain, I find letting the woman being on top and slowly working her way on and down the shaft works best, once they have stretched to girth size then was able to have more aggressive sex.

In my profession I have heard my female coworkers say that length is not what they like, since the internal walls of the vagina do stretch but getting hit over and over again with an erect penis, gives them a great deal of discomfort afterwards which in their own words, was not worth it, so they all agreed that girth was much more pleasurable, plus from a guys viewpoint, it feels better too to have the friction of a stretched set of lips rubbing your shaft...

I am 10 1/2 inches long by 7 1/4 circumfrince. It gets so hard it hurts sometimes!
My cock can only be bent when semi erect period!
but I have noticed that sometimes it can become fully engorged with blood, but NOT be anywhere near even considered hard as I am not turned on, and it's totally relaxed, hanging there at full length but flaccid and bendable.
I have some wild looks from sex parteners in the past that see it this way before I get erect and look on in shock seeing it hanging totally flaccid and already at 10 1/2 inches long and laying over in their hands as they play with it to get me erect!
often when I disrobe after work I am that way and as I change it just hangs there pointing straight down, full as if ready, but not erect yet.
I can perform once it is semi erect and enter with it semi erect, but the women I've been with prefer it being at it's "Rock Hard" state and seem disappointed in themselve if they cant get me that way!

There are roughly around 300 million people in the United States. In 2005 there were about 20.8 million people with diabetes in the United States. According to the American Diabetes Association, there are about 6.2 million people undiagnosed and about 41 million people that would be considered pre-diabetic.

That equals out to just under 70 million people that are suffering the complications of diabetes... roughly 23% of the population.

Seeing how most diabetics have erection difficulties or experience bouts of impotence, it would seem that about 1 in 4 men will not be able to achieve "rock hard" erections due to complications from diabetes alone.

There are plenty of other factors that can cause or influence impotence besides diabetes. I would go as far as saying that 1 in 3 American men have trouble getting "rock hard" erections.

So I guess that somewhere between 23-33% of American men should not reproduce for fear of passing on their genes that would cause their male offspring to achieve "less than rock hard" erections?

We should probably take all of the men who don't get rock hard and round them up, put them on trains, and ship them off to "rock hard" camps.

Saying that, "most women would feel insulted, upset or disappointed that the guy they're with doesn't have a rock hard cock" is just ignorant.

I would be inclided to agree with Dan here. If I was with a woman who didnt get very wet, I wouldnt be happy about it. If I was dating her, and I knew that was just how she was, thats different, then I would understand. But, for the first time or two, I would guess that a lot of women take it personally.

Its not just hardness in this though, taking too long to cum or not cumming at all isnt flattering to her either. You also could go so far as to say guys who shoot cum make women feel better because it would seem as if a guy who squirts had a stronger orgasm that a guy who dribbles.

Concerning ED and semi-firmness and diabetes and women being quickly judgmental: maybe I'm hopelessly naive, but if you're being physically intimate with someone, is revealing that you have diabetes (or some similar ED-causing ailment) really that invasive? I would hope that a partner worth having sex with would understand and work with you on it. I don't mean to sound pollyannaish, but it just seems like some of these arguments are being made in a vacuum, without human interaction considered...
