Has anybody ever bought beef at Wal-Mart? Or, alleged beef I mean?

WTF is that they are putting in their packages of hamburger because it’s far from any beef product I have ever known!

I tried one bite and didn't finish that. I am spoiled though, I have access to grass fed range beef and range chicken.

Commercial processed food product is toxic, but like most toxins it will not kill you if you keep the consumption to a minimum and you do not ingest it on a daily basis.

What are they putting in it?

I buy beef from Wal-mart every once in a while. Most of the time I shop at Costco so it is only when I run out of Costco meat and I don't have a chance to drive to Costco's.

I use the Wal-mart hamburger meat in stew and spaghetti....and every so often purchase rib eye steaks. Last minute shopping. I marinate them. I haven't ever noticed anything unusual.

Maybe they ship it in from China and the beef has melamine in it?

Deno, good one!

Seriously, if I ever set foot in a Wal-Mart [unlikely]; I certainly wouldn't buy a perishable food in one of them.

the meat is bad because its how they get rid of lazy employees.
:biggrin1:
I thought lazy employees were promoted to be cashiers on the Express Lanes.

If you think their meat is vile don't try their seafood, or cold cuts. My mom made that mistake once. Just once. We only by nonperishable items there. For everything else we go to Publix or Trader Joe's.

I have started doing the same thing....Piggly Wiggly or Winn Dixie for my meat, but not Wal-Mart.

jason els: "I wish I had a Trader Joe's or a Whole Foods nearby! The nearest is over an hour away. Ugh!"

njqt466: "Trader Joe's is 50 miles away in Atlanta we make pilgrimmages every other month."

oh you poor proud simple country folk -- toiling to drive to market! I have a Whole Foods within walking distance & a Trader Joe's less than 10 mins. away. haha

Trader Joe's Flattened Bananas rule!
