asked for their old job back and what happened?

I was offered jobs back four times and never accepted.

Don't go back. Move forward.

I was offered my old job back but with the same pay and same crap in which was the reason I left anyway and I told my old boss( no raise, and back stabbing ass co-workers and no raises, or good benefits), but I found a job with more pay, and better benefits and less crap to deal with and at the age of 40 I am not looking back, so thanks, but no thanks. I am going on. See ya,

About four years ago I was in the shower when my cellphone rang. My husband answered and said he would take a message.

The man on the other end asked if this was my phone and used my maiden name. He said it was.

Then he asked if I was working, and my husband said no, meaning that I'm in the shower and not working.

So then the caller asked if I would be available for an interview as they were opening a new branch north of Atlanta and thought that I would be the perfect person to manage it.

Ever the consummate gentleman my husband apologized and notified the caller said that she would not be available as she had moved from the area and is trying her hand at self-employment. I've been running my own business for over 10 years now.

did it once when I was about 23 or so. Surprisingly I got the job back, I quit a short time after and that was that.

Yes at TWA. Left for a brief time in the mid 80s to work for Air Canada and then went back. Pay was the same as Carl Ichan bought us in '88 and froze all pay raises. After five years left for double the pay at Northwest Airlines. Now both carriers are gone.

I went back to two different places, and each one was its own mistake. Lesson learned.

The one boss had recruited me, knowing my reputation and then fired me because I, in his words was just like my reputation. Later when he needed a top producer he begged me to come back, and foolishly I did. After pulling his company out of the fire he tried to cut my pay. I quit and told him that I thought he was the second dumbest person I had ever known. He was taken aback and asked, "Who is the first?" I said, I always leave room at the top for the asshole I have not met yet.
