If he new he would breach no. 5, why did he start a thread there? Then he went on to breach no. 6 as well.

I generally didn't have a problem with his question. I personally wouldn't have left a note like he did but everyone has a different way of approaching things in life.

What I had issue with is that he asked for advice and received it. He ultimately didn't like said advise, proceeded to shoot the messengers and finally self implode,

I don’t know if it’s possible. I have a feeling people would just skip past it anyway. Sometimes, I think, as impossible as it seems, that no one reads any rules.

Exactly. I didn't have an issue with his question. I had an issue with his reaction to our replies which were just genuine and honest.

I didn't like the way he phrased the thread, but I think he really did just want to feel like he wasn't being creepy. What he did... Leaving the note... I would have probably thought of finding a new place to walk/run/bike. So I answered honestly. That woman may have felt differently.

His reaction to honest replies was 100% the problem.

It currently has ~55,000 messages and most of them must of been posted automatically. I don't know if maybe @Mr. LPSG can look into it. Just my observations from around the site mixed in with my personal experience with websites/forums.

The 55,000 messages on the LPSG are posts not inbox messages. I think all of them are just automated posts.

One thing I've learned is people don't take the time to read. They'll read the title and nothing else. That is the nature of the world we live in imo.

That said adding a text at the top of every post may not be possible and also would seriously impact the look for those who are on a mobile.

I have just come from a thread in AAW and the conduct of said 'man' has been atrocious. I would never dream of saying some of the things that he said in that thread. It has just shocked me that people believe that as acceptable.

Am I alone in thinking this? What needs be changed in in our societies?

I was deliberating too much between Women issues, as this was a follow up from AAW, and Relationships, Discrimination, and Jealousy. It was stopping me from starting the thread. I came to the conclusion that the moderators could move it, if it was deemed to be in the wrong section. All that mattered was that everyone could contribute.

I hoped it would come across as a bit Tongue-in-cheek and an honest discussion on what occurred. But sometimes I forget that not everyone understands British humour.
