That is, deleting any and all unnecessary files and downloads without transferring or copying them, just getting rid of them? I happened to look at my computer the other day and I noticed that I have way too much stuff on it and should delete most, if not all, of it. Don't know why I haven't yet. I also keep thinking maybe I'll delete everything up to say a year ago and then go through the rest, see what movies I want to keep, sort some photos, etc.

I don't have any porn on my computer or external hard drive. Thats where i keep all my music and movies, software programs. My HP Desktop has a 1tb hard drive. So i have enough space. However, i just like keeping everything on my external. I just love the fact that i can unplug it and take it wherever i go. Or i can transfer anything on it to any other computer.

Ahh but what happens when the person deletes their account or there is a DCMA removal of the video. I have lost so many of my favorites because of that.

as each successive computer / now laptops crap out, i pull them to bits, smash the hard drive, and dispose of the rest at the annual white ware cleanup.
due to a usual 6 week x 6 month intensive porn gathering activity it
guarantees a fresh supply of porn, some of which i never get around to viewing.
currently i have 3 laptops, family will need to dispose of, if i crap out before the laptops do.

now the 2 ext HDs, are an entirely different story....................
porn is my friend' ... sort of ha

Once my computer crashed so bad I lost everything and had to reboot from a disk.

Right now I only have 60 gigs left on a 500 gig drive. I'm gonna have to move more shit over to my external drive. One of those got bricked too. I will never buy a Seagate drive again. I think they are times to fail and then they want to charge you to get it working again. There is not way to reset it.

It was so much easier in the old days, throw the magazines in the fireplace or make a bonfire, put the film reels in boxes and send them to the town elders or the preachers house when you found the one with a man that looked like him having a great time with a man and a woman sometimes with a few of each and the one where it's just preacher guy and a bunch of guys.

I try not to keep this stuff on the computer, even the best anti-virus can sometimes miss little bugs and that's the end of the computer.

you know many suggest that you should not go over 50% to keep your machine running properly. I have 2tb external and my laptop is backed up twice and most of my important stuff is also on dvds

It's an odd phenomenon that I collect porn on the computer yet I rarely go back and look at it. Yet I feel reluctant to get rid of any of it. Mine all mine.

I'm a download porn hoarder. I really need to get rid of movies that I watch parts of and I'm really not that much into. I just moved 35 gigs to my external drive, but those were non porn movies that I had watched and wanted to keep elsewhere.

These three responses hit home for me.

Yes, I did it a couple of years ago and I regretted it a few days later.

I keep thinking there's movies that I want to keep because I like certain scenes and don't know if I'd be able to find them again, especially not remembering from where I originally downloaded them.

I have some stuff which I downloaded years ago and yet I can't remember what the movies are. Still, I can't around to deleting them, thinking I will view them "one day".

As I wrote above, I have complete movies which I downloaded just for certain scenes. I have a program for editing videos but it more of a hassle to copy the video (and also sometimes having to convert them), run them through the editor and then basically chop it up to get the specific scenes. Meanwhile, the full movies take up a lot of space.
