Yes, I get jock itch all the fucking time. And it pisses me off royally.

Apparently it has something to do with with the fact I'm prone to allergies, inflammations, and psoriasis.

I need a prescription steroid cream to quell it. (At least here in Europe, it's a prescription. The brand name is Ecural, and in German it's known as Fettcreme. I think in the USA such steroid creams are available over-the-counter.)

Good luck, @Franciscofixe2!

Yup yeast infection in the summer months. It happens. I sweat a lot in the summer. Work construction and usually wear a jockstrap to allow for some air movement. Both on my ass and the mesh pouch to let my balls breathe. Also, since the heat really makes my balls hang the support is nice.Over the counter spray usually gets it. But if I had to a docs appointment no big deal. I also prefer the sprays to the creams.

the thing about jock itch is this--i use stuff twice a week on my feet for athletes feet and some on my balls and around it-because they both are basiclly the same thing-and when go to saunas and places where no shoes are being worn you never know what can get--so its nothing wrong to protect your feet and cock from it--not to mention i love guys with nice feet and last thing i would want is athletes feet on my tongue hehe

Actually I don't have jock itch.
I think I had a few months ago but I put Bepanthene in the red parts and it went away in 2 weeks. Bepanthene is a very common cream in my country, that normally put were we bleed after a fall for example. All the parents have that cream here, they put in babies when they bleed

I need a prescription steroid cream to quell it. (At least here in Europe, it's a prescription. The brand name is Ecural, and in German it's known as Fettcreme. I think in the USA such steroid creams are available over-the-counter.)

couple of times a year - more often in hot humid summer months . Over the counter anti-fungal cream clears it up fast
Loose fitting boxers also help - keep the boys dry

Yes. Men can also get yeast infections, particularly in summer. They make several OTC anti-fungal creams for this purpose. There's an OTC powder called Zeasorb that contains miconazole to help keep things dry. You can use in your groin after it's cleared up. Try to wear 100% cotton underwear. If it doesn't go away see a doc. Make sure to complete the entire course even if it looks like it's cleared up (follow the directions on the anti-fungal cream/spray/etc). If you have athletes feet - make sure to treat it as well, or it may just cause a recurrence. Put socks on before underwear and use a blow dryer if you have to to keep dry after you shower. Get better. I am not a doctor, and this is not medical advice.

Yes, it happens in hot, humid, sweaty weather. Any of the anti-fungal creams or sprays sold for athlete's foot will help cure it, but check the ingredient list-- the ones that contain terbinafine, even the cheaper store brand, seem to be the most effective in my experience. Try to keep it dry and apply the cream a couple of times a day. Note that they are some other things that will make you itch down there that are not the fungus, so if you don't get results in a few days, investigate further.

Working from home on a laptop, I will often have a laptop directly on my lap. I have found a good $5 solution of using a silverware drawer insert (one of those thing you would put into a drawer to separate the knives and forks) to keep a gap between my laptop and my lap. Works well.

Jock itch happens, and reacts the same way to athlete's foot in my experience. Medicated foot powders and sprays both work well. Do them for a few days after the itch has gone.

I got it for the first time around last September for so? I was wearing multiple layers of clothing and sweating a lot (and the hot weather didn’t help). I used the over the counter cream and it helped out a lot. Tried the spray but still don’t know how I feel about that one.

It can be unpleasant. There is underwear out there that absorbs moisture, especially if it is made of micromodal i think. I switched to that a while back and the problem has basically stopped. Regular underwear can often hold moisture and thats part of the issue.
