As a former athlete who has had too many massages to count, it has never happened and I would never have wanted it to. For a start, a proper massage hurts. If you're an athlete, it hurts A LOT. Most massage therapists are aware of this, since it's a normal physiological response. Most would ignore it, or make a joke about it, but wouldn't touch it and go to town.
Even then, there are a few legitimate massage places who would touch it lol. In seriousness, yes. Ultimately, it depends on the massuese in question, and their working style, the reputation of the place, etc.

i'm not so interested in the 'happy ending' as I am getting a complete massage on the insides of the legs, and the glutes. If you're really concerned go to a spa and get a massage from someone you don't know any may very well never see again. Then you'll have an idea whether its a situation that's likely to make you hard. It does seem like everyone's experience with massage is different, getting hard or not, and that seems like a safe way to find out how your body may react to that kind of contact.
