Where, when and what?
Do you have klepto proclivities or was it a one time thing?
Yes, I did, it happened many times when I was younger, it was my choice, I used free will even though I knew it was wrong and that God would not approve.
Stole toy cars, pens, candy, cigarettes, soda pops, books. Eventually I got past it and no longer do those things.
A copy of Razzle from the newsagent in town.
*edit* as in, when I was young, not last week or anything like that... :suspect:
I've only ever stolen shoplifted one thing in my life, and that was a tuxedo-pattern man thong.
I'm being deadly serious. I still have it to this day!
EDIT: I realised I am actually wearing aforementioned thong in my avatar.
During university days I would go to the grocery store, take food stuffs from the shelves and then sneak them into the Food Bank bin.
as late as last week at the dentists a small container of floss looked appealing to pocket haha

GUTLESS me, not because i was being a nice guy either, tried to believe even then i was going to do it to get sommitt back from the pain the dentist supposedly caused me hah
Glad i never and NO i have never, but that damn thought was there
As a matter of fact this past weekend I went to my favorite home and hardware store with the intent of buying one of these.... KitchenAid Mixer Thumb Screw (Black) - 9709194
So I went to the section that sold the Kitchen Aid mixers and unscrewed the part to take to the hardware department to show them what I needed. So after I bought it. I put the one that I borrowed in my pocket intending to put it back on the mixer on my way out of the store. Well I ran into someone I know and we got to talking (can you see where this is going?) Long story short we went for coffee and I forgot about the thumbscrew in my pocket until I got home. I went back the next day and turned myself in and told them what happened.
I have cleared my good name and can walk into the store with my head held high again.
I've remember stealing some pick 'n' mix from Woolworths when I was very young. Apart from that, I can't think of anything.
as part of my initiation, i had to shoplift from a grocery store ingredients to make dinner. sweated bullets the entire time but i made it and never did anything like that again...whew! retelling this has shaken me up a bit.
*looks around* maybe.

*sells boosted adorable avatars on the adorable avatar underground network*
Well...I guess you're being honest. Your avatar is so cute! It must be true! Sorry for doubting you.
As a kid, 9 or 10 at the time...A box of Smarties and some crackers (fireworks) from the Cut Price store. Ok officer, you can take me away now.
Yup. As a pre-teen and having discovered makeup. Had to have my eyeliner and mascara.
When I was in the 8th grade, I stole some candy a few times.
Ten years ago, I bought a handful of CDs and the shop assistant forgot to charge me for one of them (Natalie Imbruglia "White Lillies Island") - but I didn't say anything.
A few weeks ago, I bought two CD storage cases but was only charged for one - once again I said nothing.....
Apart from sampling grapes and cherries at the grocery store I don't shoplift now.
I did steal Playgirl magazines from the local drug store when I was a teen...it was fuel for my over active curiosity for naked guys, until I got caught by the manager and was banned from the store for life. I think he felt bad for me as I had a Playgirl under my shirt rather than a Playboy or Penthouse. He probably thought I was so nervous I lifted the wrong magazine so he didn't call the cops. It was still very traumatic, yet I still remember fondly the thrill of looking at those Playgirl magazines and beating off to them.
Yes I did when I was a kid and I got caught at the grocery store. The manager of the store had been watching me and just as I was leaving the store he asked to see what was in my hand. I opened my hand and there was some candy in it and then he asked me to open my jacket and there was the bag of M&M's. I was so upset and cried the whole time...I had two choices...He would call the Police or my Mother. I took the call to my Mother. Surprisingly she did not as mad as I thought but she was really disappointed in me which in retrospect was much worse. Never did it again after that!
i can say i have once. i was about six or seven anyway i stole a pack of dentyne gum. and some now &laters.
We used to have this store called Winn Dixie and they had a thing of candy where you would scoop up candy and put it in a bag and buy it. When I was about 4 or 5 I was tall enough to reach it, so I would take a gummy worm or two while my mom would be shopping around.
Wednesday I was at a restaurant with a few friends and we had ordered chips and salsa...we each had separate checks and nobody had the salsa on theirs...we didn't say anything. oops.
