Have you had a man take off his shirt or go shirtless in the office?

Wondering if a man ever came up with an excuse or created a situation where he could take his shirt off or even just show up shirtless in a work place office you were employed at?

Thanks for the reply Vereesa, and everyone else! But I have to ask details details Vereesa, what type of job do you have where clients get drunk at the office, no need to be specific but at least the industry or product sold. Thanks!

True it may not be "acceptable" but we all know many unacceptable things happen in professional offices that go both covered up and enforces with demotion/termination but how, why it happened and the responses at the moment it happened would be interesting to hear about.

No, never. I've never been in a work environment where it would be even remotely appropriate. The most inappropriate I've dealt with was a fucking creep manager who had a fetish for Asian women, who kept scheduling me to work alone with him, and who looked at porn at work. I got him fired. Zero regrets.

What would be the desired result from the dude taking his shirt off in the office?

What does he hope to accomplish?

Even when I worked in a tattoo shop only the clients take off their shirts.

ETA: Thank you, @Fade. I can't see tags on my end... they do come in handy for certain threads.

What? No...

I have no words for how weird and massively inappropriate that would be in my office.

We're all fucking nuts and it would *still* be did-someone-slip-me-mushrooms-when-i-wasn't-looking weird.

Just trying to follow directions on the tags.

It does surprise me how its unanimous that it is unacceptable, especially since the whole public breast feeding thing started. A professional office vs. a public space is a stark difference and the reasons for breast feeding are much different then a guy showing off his 6 pack so the arguments for these things couldn't be different but the argument against them seems always to be "not appropriate".

Just looking for real life experiences or scuttle butt of this happening, if you want to classify it as fodder well it does seem a little odd that a guy would wank to a real life story of some poor guy getting demoted or worse for taking off his shirt at the office. I am just trying to cast the widest net possible to attract any and all responses. Tags should be used for that if everyone starts minimizing tags or ignoring them then we have less discussion and less knowledge on this forum. I have been reading here for years so I understand there are some creeps out there and shallow discussions, just rest assured this is not intended as one, but I don't want to not advertise the thread to the widest possible human experiences either.

Breast feeding is feeding someone. : unamused: Someone taking their clothing off arbitrarily in a place where it's not clothing optional is not appropriate. Locker rooms, nude beaches, other places that are clothing optional, it is complete appropriate. Go figure.

You do see the difference between breastfeeding, a completely no sexual act, and men kitting off in an office for the sake of their personal fetish?

A woman just randomly whipping out a tittie for shits and giggles would not only be demoted, she'd probably face some form of criminal charge.

Well there have been a few of these stories in professional offices I have personally witnessed, and one at a wine bar right after work in a job sponsored get together "team building" and all. But those stories are for another time. (One of these was a telemarketing job so the reasons for keeping the job might vary from say a Fortune 500 skyscraper office setting).

As I said above the reasons for breastfeeding and a guy going topless couldn't be more different, but the prohibition against them always seem to be the same. Just an interesting observation that the responses have been so absolute.

Not looking for debate points, respecting everyones experience and opinion.

Thanks again for all the responses and hoping for many many more and please remember to provide details.

I haven't said a single thing about breast feeding being inappropriate. Neither did @MickeyLee You're the only one in the thread so far to be saying anything about it being inappropriate, OP.

The only reason you don't see breastfeeding more often in the workplace is the general consensus that children don't come to the office with their parents. Most mothers with children of breastfeeding age will pump to provide for the baby during the day.

Hopefully, as employers start to see employees as real people, you will see women being able to bring a child into work during breastfeeding. Ideally, the baby would be in employer-provided daycare while the mother works. *Or, America will catch up to the rest of the world and get wise to family leave for parents of newborns*
