I mean before discovering/accepting you are into both women and men have you identified as a straight or as gay? Or asexual? Or you always knew you were bi?
I am curious because I found majority of bi men "started" as straight and then their sexuality "expanded" (which is another reason why thinking bi men are gay in denial is stupid). What is your experience?

I've always known, even though I still have doubts, called myself straight for years, now I don't say anything and just let people think whatever they want, if they think I'm straight that's on them and them only.

Started straight I'd say. Or at least the idea of trying anything sexually with a man just didn't really seriously cross my mind until my 30s.

I can't really say which it was. My friends and I used to occasionally hang out in someone's basement and we'd all pull out our cocks and discuss masturbating while stroking our cocks. Evidently, as we got older, we'd talk about what girl had the biggest tits while stroking ourselves. Sometimes we'd even try stroking each other and I tried oral with two of my friends. These jerk off sessions tapered off as our interests turned entirely to girls. This was way before computers and the internet. We knew nothing about bisexuality so we just did what felt good. There was no emotions connections other than our friendships. Remember, this was back in the 60's before the internet. We knew nothing about sexual orientation back then.

As far as I know, we all went on to have straight relationships after that, although I always had an interest in naked men. It wasn't until I was in my mid-40's that I had my first adult bi experience.
I hope I explained this clearly.

Started straight, first with the girl next door and then with my flatmate's sister after I left home. I'd never considered sex with a guy.
My apprenticeship supervisor and I were working together in the boiler room in our shorts as it was so hot. He made a comment about how my shorts weren't hiding much and when I looked back at him I immediately noticed his cock straining and wetting the front of his shorts. I immediately felt my cock harden and he saw it right away, staring as it pushed up against the waistband of my shorts.
He invited/told me to come to his place for dinner and I did so, dinner was late that night because after a couple of minutes conversation he lifted my curious arse onto the kitchen bench, stripped off my pants and underwear and gave me the most incredible blowjob. If I wasn't hooked then, I was a few days later when he showed me a video of guys rimming each other. I didn't get it, why would anyone do something like that?. He offered to show me and after a couple of minutes I was begging him to keep going, he did so for nearly an hour.

Straight until same sex attraction began with a handful of guys in high school. Had sex with a guy for the first time as a senior at university.

My first sexual experiences were with a guy in high school. After that, it was exclusively women for the next thirty years. Then in my late 40s I kind of stumbled back into guy fun, mostly through curiosity in chat rooms & camming, and ended up losing my anal virginity to a man in a hotel sauna. These days my sexual appetite is mostly filled by men, and that's because the opportunities are easy & widespread, the sex is purely physical (& mostly amazing) and the emotional involvement is zero.

Initially, I identified as straight, but over time, I felt a natural inclination to explore sexuality with my male friends because it aroused me, not solely because I was curious. This experience sparked a journey of self-discovery as I grappled with numerous questions about my sexual identity. It wasn't until my mid-20s that I came to a realization: my strong sexual attraction to men, coupled with my existing feelings towards women, led me to identify as bisexual, a label I have embraced ever since.

Hmm interesting. It does seem to be gone. No idea why.
I feel like there were more responses before and may be due to breaking the rule of not mentioning anyone under 18- and a lot of commenters said they started as g/s in their teenage years etc. What a stupid rule.

It may sound like a stupid rule but, as an “adult” site, we are not permitted any underage discussions or content by our banks or credit card processors.

Back on subject, I don't think I made any conscious effort to start out straight or gay. As I said earlier, my first experiences were with a guy, before I moved on to girls, but at the time I never gave a thought as to what I was in terms of sexuality. It was the 1970s and I was pretty naive. To me, at the time, it was just sex and any kind of sex was fun. Took me until the 2000s to work out I was bi.
