Netflix’s ‘Masters Of The Universe’ Accused Of He-Man ‘Bait And Switch’

This is a balanced article about this, "controversy".

Summary: a bunch of He-man fans online are mad about the new Netflix He-Man show. They're saying that it has gone "woke" and is now "feminazi garbage". These are things adults are saying.

Fans are saying this because one of the female characters take center stage in the series and He-man plays a less prominent role than some fans felt they were promised.

I know most people here don't care about this. I don't care about He-man either, but I do think this says some interesting and sad things about the current culture.

The biggest takeaway for me is just how fragile and paranoid some people are. I've watched this show. It is not political or woke at all, but if you go into the comments section of the YouTube videos denouncing this show you would think that He-man got a sex change. People really have a hair trigger with this stuff.

What do you guys think?

Just watch the outrage when the conservative culture warriors find out He-Man and Skeletor were a couple.

Is there really a balanced way of covering something that's only a "controversy" so a small subset of supposed fans?

Speaking as a fan of He-Man, Teelah's led episodes of the old show and it was pretty well known among fansites she would be taking the lead in discovering the secrets of Greyskull in this revival series. She's one of the Masters of the Universe that the title "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" refers to.

And can we bury once and for all the phrase "culture wars"?
