when i get erections the head of my penis remains fairly soft unless i've been aroused for an hour or more. of course it does enlarge somewhat but compared to the rest of my penis it's obviously "sub-par". when i "flex" my penis and push blood into it, the head grows greatly like it should, but never without manual assistance. so my question is of course: what can i do to make my erections, specifically in the head, stronger?
any advice is appreciated.

without me sounding like an asshole... hopefully this doesn't... Maybe you have a clog.
Have either of you thought about visiting a doctor? a Uriologist? They may be able to either tell you, if something is wrong.. or inform you that it just means you aren't transfering enough blood to your head.

I am no doctor.. I hope that helps a little.

The perception of the head being consistently firm during erection is really skewed. In porn you might see this, but generally during erection your head is going to be softer.

You can try doing kegel exercises and that should improve the blood flow to the corpus spongiosum (the bottom tube), which is completely seperate and the only flow of blood to the head. It just simply does not contrict the same as the other two tubes of the penis. It isn't necessary for an erection, and allows for more circulation.

Overall, from what I can tell, this is healthy and normal. If the head had the same constantly constricted blood flow as the rest of the penis, you would loose circulation/feeling after a few minutes.

Try squeezing your PC muscle (the muscle used to stop urine flow) and you should notice that your head balloons. If you practice this, you can have control over the firmness of the glans.

thank you for the advice. i don't think it's any type of medical condition or problem so i won't be bringing this up with my doctor but i might experiment with that excercise mentioned.

and also, i just noticed i misspelled "enlarge". so for that i am deeply sorry and embarassed.

Twistedwrister, you sound like a sincere guy. Penises come in a staggering array of basic shapes and sizes. As a nudist, I sometime think if more guys would just come to Cap d' Agde, France and walk the beach with 30-40,000 nudists they would get a much better idea about their own anatomy than looking up monster meat dot com.

There could be a lot of reasons why your glans doesn't flange and mushroom just like the ones in the photos. Perhaps your basic anatomy isn't designed this way. There is one guy that frequents a Florida naturist resort that has a "beer can" shaft topped with a tiny pale pink head. Another guy spends some time in the warm waters of the conversation pool or hot tub and emerges with what looks like a big red apple at the end of his organ, hence his nickname Apple Dick. Another reason could be a function of basic size and vaso-coagulation. So question number one, how aroused are you.

Additionally, is your anatomy extremely long but fairly slender? I know if I'm not particularly aroused my glans doesn't expand at all and my shaft sometimes "bows" upon penetration. For this my wife and I have a little trick of grasping or pinching the base of my penis for a firmer erection and it does wonders for mushrooming the head of my penis. At times she loves the sensation of quick small thrusts with a fully enlarged glans as opposed to "taking the entire baseball bat."

I wouldn't worry- the overwhelming odds are you are perfectly normal.
