The snow is on the mountain tops. Where it belongs.

We had a nice sunny 19c today.

So you guys get a bit of snow there in the UK and schools got cancelled. How insane is that. We never cancel school when we have snow... loads of snow...

To be fair though Pieter they really are not geared up for dealing with a lot of snow. Some years there is hardly any in England and a couple of cms is thought of as a lot. Some places have had 30-40cm last night.

We had that too and we are expecting more this weekend... I have exam on monday... but college won't be cancelled... So I have to get up early and leave the house to be on time in college...
Just very weird

like i just told you on fb, we have one day of snow a year. If we brought all the gear needed to deal with it it would be a waste of money. All those that complain about it in britain would be the first to complain when they heard the price of it all. It pisses me off.

I also get pissed off when people go "in my day it snowed far worse and i had to walk to school, in shorts......these days kids are wrapped up in cotton wool....." Sorry, take the rose tinted glasses off mate, it was pretty much the same. and who is wrapping these kids up? you are you knob, you created a nation like this, get over it.

I remember setting off to walk to school at 4am wearing shorts tee shirt and open sandals. The snow used to be covering the bus shelters but the school was always open. You dare not complain as you'd just be told to toughen up.:smile:

It's 62 and sunny in the san francisco bay area. And six months from now it'll probably still be 62 and sunny. There are men walking around in t-shirts and females in mini-skirts.

wow, now that IS a lot of snow lol. It snowed again in warwks this evening for half hour and replaced that which had melted yesterday. There are three more days of snow on the way apparently and the forecasters say it is expected to get worse, not sure that is possible but we shall see.

Two young lads died today after playing on a frozen lake, it is a real tragedy and there is NEVER any warnings about the dangers of frozen waters when this kind of weather happens.
