Has anybody seen this? it's fascinating. It's on amazon now. please let me know what you think.
Heidi Fleiss: Hollywood Madam - Filmmaker Nick Broomfield explores the scandal surrounding Heidi Fleiss, who was convicted of pandering in 1994.
why is this so fascinating? look at it through the lens of a post #Metoo. Basically, this Fleiss and many others were providing girls to Hollywood's elite actors and producers. Over 15 years ago. There is even a poor man's Weinstein who is ground zero for all this stuff. It's so fascinating to see the hypocrisy of hollywood. Also, it's striking to see how sexuality is discussed and handled back then. While the primal forces and dynamics haven't changed, our acceptance and perception of it has.
Also, while clearly deranged Fleiss rawly exposes the truths about sexuality that would be considered offensively politically incorrect nowadays. She says that she can did something that is harder than running Ford Motors, because she ran a business of women who she says are crazy and insane (her words, not mine)...
please let me know your thoughts! thanks!
