Hope this is the right place to put it.

    Hellbent.

Just wanted to know if anyone has seen this movie? and if so what you think of it.

It is meant to be the first gay horror movie, and I think that means the victims, as apossed to the 'big bad'. :biggrin1:

It's just a new release in some countries, but has not come out yet in Australia (that I know of).

I saw "Hellbent" on DvD a while back.
The cast are attractive but stereotypical "gay types" such as Dumb Jock, Tranny, Twink etc.
The twist in the tale is the queens eagerly offer themselves up to the serial killer like the proverbial sacrificial lambs simply because he is big and butch and wears leather ....
A pastiche on those stalker/slasher movies from the 1970s where the bad girls get it and the nice virgin lives on !

I posted a few images and a link to a lengthy clip of some of the 'best male-male action bits' on Rapidshare a while back

As for claiming to be the "first gay horror flick", I think that Sons of Satan (1973) holds a rather better stake to that particular claim.

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0207750/

I won't even mention all of director Dave DeCoteau's output in recent years, let alone all the other horror-themed porn flicks over the years, such as Dracula and the Boys (1969), Hollow-My-Weenie, Dr. Frankenstein (1969), Gayracula (1983), etc., etc., etc.

And as for the homoerotic and homosexual subtexts of numerous horror movies from the silent era onwards, as per the in-depth discussion in Harry Benshoff's 1998 study "Monsters in the Closet", etc.... sheesh...

*is never a fan of publicity that claims things are the 'first' of their kind*

The James Whale movies from the 1930s were incredibly camp witness "The Bride Of Frankenstein".
In the 1960s Hammer propogated the glamorous lesbian/vampire films such as "The Bloody Countess".
With the advent of AIDS in the early 1980s movies about parasites and isolation became de rigeur ...
