Ugh, ok, here goes. So, Wednesday night I got together with this married guy (60 yr old). It's been a very long time since I've had any sexual encounter. Anyways, the most extreme thing that was done was him performing oral sex on me, but even then it's not like he really sucked me hard because my penis is pretty sensitive. I even pushed him away quite a few times to prevent from ejaculating too soon. It was a gentle sucking, again even then it was kinda light. Mind you, I had not masturbated in about 2 weeks. When I did ejaculate, it was quite a bit. There wasn't any more oral sex after that - I'm not really into people going at it again once I've done the deed. What I've noticed since about yesterday (Friday) is that the head of my penis feels kinda sore - there's no discharge and it doesn't hurt when I urinate. Could I have gotten something? Would a symptom like that happen so soon? Or am I just overreacting because I hadn't ejaculated in a long time and my mind has gone into overdrive about this? If there's a possibility I did get something for this, is there an over the counter remedy I can take or should I make an appointment with my doctor to get something?

Gosh no, probably within the week. But I certainly wouldn't be going back to that dude for another blow job.
Yeah, I've pretty much taken myself off the playing field for good now. I just don't need this hassle and worry.

Went to a doc in the box today and got a shot and 2 pills of arithromiacin (sp?). Anyways, any idea as to how many days until I feel better?

Did the doc confirm you had something? Or was this precautionary? I don’t know anything about this, but why would he give you a shot and 2 pills (is that even enough.) without a confirmation of an STD test?

Normally, it's 4 tabs of azithromycin/2gm. The shot was ceftriaxone, 3rd gen cephalosporin, the preferred combo for gonorrhea, at least the drug sensitive kind. You are covered for gonorrhea, chlamydia, possibly syphilis but 2gm of zithromax would be preferred and it isn't the ideal cocktail. You should start feeling better within 3-4 days. If there is no improvement withing 7-10 days, it's time for a prostate ultrasound exam and a scrotal ultrasound, looking for abscesses in your testes, epididimi, and prostate. You don't have to trust me, but I do know what I'm talking about. 7-10 days MAX, and then follow up. Not 1 month down the line, not 3 months down the line. Hopefully, none of this will be necessary. Private me if you wish.

I have assumed that I got something because of the way my penis felt. I didn't have any discharge, but it did feel a bit painful in the urethra. Based upon the advice I got here, I felt it was better that I get there and have something done than to let it go for a few more days. HOPEFULLY this won't be anything - maybe it's because I hadn't ejaculated in about 2 weeks and because there was so much, it caused something - but that's just me wishing.

You should follow up with the doc to confirm and clarify the diagnosis.

I was told that by Wednesday of this week they should have the results back, so I really can't do anything until I hear back. Maybe it will be nothing, but it wasn't something I was just going to let go unabated. So basically lesson learned.

Well, good news! My test came back negative, so....whew!! Lesson learned and I"m taking myself off the playing field for quite some time. I don't need this sort of scare and worry again.

I think you overreacted to begin with. And you really shouldn't have taken the drugs until you knew. Antibiotics can really destroy your system and your gut. I think you were feeling guilty and that amps up your paranoia. Trust me. I did this for YEARS. And my urethra often is a tad painful even after I JO. More than likely he sucked a bit too hard or tongued your slit too much. Dont miss out on life and having fun. Be careful, always ask if the guys status and have fun. And wait for your bloodwork to come back before treatment unless the doctor is 100% sure and you have obvious signs like discharge, etc.

hi, yeah, I probably did overreact, but man, my mind can be a pretty powerful thing when it comes to "what if...?" regarding my health. Heck, over 10 years ago I thought I was having chest pains leading up to a heart attack and...well...long story short, it was just acid reflux from eating a lot of those mini seedless oranges. The guy I messed with really never got to suck me very hard or much at all because my dick is fairly sensitive and I found myself backing up to withdraw when he did. My urethra may have felt painful as I hadn't ejaculated in about two weeks and when I did, it was a lot. Guess I shouldn't wait so long to relieve the pressure!

You sound like me. I had chest pains a lot and turns out it was acid and anxiety. Our minds are powerful things and I do think there is guilt put upon m4m situations. I have that sensitivity problem too. I often have to have them stop and then I do some sucking while I let my cock desensitize for awhile. haha. Its probably all anxiety built up. Buy yes...jo more frequently and you'll get more used to it.

your urethral area can absolutely be sensitive, even sore, a day or two following some good sexual activity. You sound unreasonably concerned about getting an STI. First, receiving a blow job is probably one of the lowest risk sexual activities out there. You can get things, but the risk is far more for the person giving head. Even if you got something, its an infection, and you get treated. We don't stigmatize people for getting the flu if a co-worker gives it to them, but if you get an infection from sex, people have a different attitude.
Don't let fear keep you from living life.

I disagree.
It’s good to be careful and hesitant when it comes this. You can’t compare it to a flu. If you get herpesvirus, gonorrhoea or similar then it’s more or less fucked. It’s nothing that vanish and goes away. You have the virus and it stays.
I know it’s exciting to meet a sex partner just for sex, but there are so many today carrying this shit and spreads it around.
Live your life, but I think your thinking and your worries about getting something is positive. Better to be to careful and worrying than not when it come to this.

Nice to hear you're fine. One idea for advice, always pee after sex. Unless there's already a sore on your penis or the sexual activity causes one, the likelihood of something bad is small. A quick piss clears out the urethra. Another idea, since your glans is normally sensitive, consider wearing a condom for a blow job. It will keep you safe and cut down on the rough sensations.
