For some, irritation with shaving (even in the facial area) is not uncommon. Might be as SensualGoth suggested as well.

    Cheers.

from my experience, you just have to let the hair grow back for a while until bumps are gone, then shave again, and make sure you are going with the grain, not against it.

Why did you shave bare? trimming is nice but bald creeps me out. Like going with some under developed boy. sorry just me, as for the rash yeah ur screwed till it starts to grow back in i use clippers to a grade 2 but a zero would leave enough hair not to give you a rash

As mentioned above, stick with clippers at 1/8" or 1/4"

For the razor burn, the bright side is that it should go away in a few days. Also, in my experience, aloe vera gel helps.

I trimmed for a while before I shaved completely. when I did shave for the first time it was good, but then the 2nd time I went against the grain and it hurt soo bad...lol

but ya, I just go by how I feel. right now though I am just growing a triangle that goes along with my "V":biggrin1:

also, lotions break me out whenever I put someone I shave, so I use baby oil:wink: (if that helps any)

Been completely shaved for years. You should use baby oil after shaving for a week or so until your skin get used to the shaving. I now shave every day with just a little bar soap. No bumps or itch at all.

This is the method that I use after years of shaving:

    • Trim with clippers first so the razor doesn't clog. Makes shaving much faster.
    • Use plenty of shaving cream. You can never use too much.
    • Don't go over the same spot more than needed.
    • Use a pivoting razor blade.
    • When finished, wash with shampoo (not soap) and then use hair contidioner. This will reduce the itch by softening the hair.
    • Oil (I use Olive, but baby or mineral oil work fine) the skin to replace the natural oils you just shaved away. This will reduce the burn alot.
    • Don't forget the taint!

I really don't like to shave but I've been with more than one girl who likes me smooth.

Really these are SO many threads about shaving...chill, put some baby powder on it and leave it alone. wear loose fitting underwear and stick to cotton fabrics.

Keep the crotch cool and the irritation goes away real fast.

Shave bald if YOU want to, what others think makes no difference, they're your hairs do with them what you wish, as people have mentioned here tho, the more you shave over time, the less the rash develops.

Next time use the searchbox above a read the threads devoted to shaving, there must be loads.
