Can anyone offer some advice? I was using a dildo for the first time about a month ago and now I have some hemroids that won't go away. I'm embarrassed to bring it up to my doctor so have been using witch hazel and prep h, but its not working as we'll as I'd like.

Suggestions?

Try a high fibre diet, that may help. Also, ice had shrink swollen veins on the outside, but be careful not to freeze them, as this could do more harm than good. As long as they do not hurt, and they are not bleeding (so could become infected), then they are best left alone. It really is best if you let a doctor deal with it properly.

Had them as a late teen, constipation me thinks?
was also very embarrassed re a Drs visit etc for such
I DID self medicate myself in that region
What i did was use the Aloe Vera Cacti ( any of the species)
i had heard of its healing properties
i did not care i was desperate and annoyed they were there
I cut small pieces, getting rid of the coarse outer skin, exposing the gel, leaving the firm flesh of the plant and inserted one smallish piece, left it there for a few hours, and replaced it.
A few weeks later, disappeared...no BS
Think they returned a lot later, i repeated that
May / May not work, did for me
and no smart ass medical comments thanks
(well anyone can of course, who gives a fck)
was what i did ( before Aloe became as great as it is now)

I've suffered all my life so here's my tips, swallow your pride and see the doc...I'm sure they will have seen a lot worse. You are self medicating which would imply self diagnosis and while you are likely to be 100% correct it's best to be sure. Next a high fibre and water diet. Finally be carefully what you stick up your arse no matter how good it feels. Don't do it unless you are truely relaxed, use lots and lots of lube and remove whatever it is before you cum, the muscle contractions caused by an orgasm can be intense and put a lot of pressure on you veins and may cause them to pop out. If they are really bad you can have an operation to fix but can't say I know anyone who has. Hope it helps.

I have soaked in a tub of warm water with epsom salts for about 15 to 30 minutes. That seems to help. Also walking helps me. They tend to hurt worse for me when I lay down. Keep your butt clean and keep applying Preparation H every few hours until the swelling goes down.

I went to the doctor (proctocologist). The main thing is to avoid pressing when on the toilet. That why the guys above are talking about high fibre. Avoid pressing to get the last bit out!! :) During the day contract your anus muscles occassionally. This actually reduces the swelling over time. And go to the doctor.

One excellent tip I was given by a consultant friend of mine, dont use toilet paper even the softest type can be like sandpaper. Use moist baby wipes to clean yourself. Keeping yourself ultra clean in the area will also help the problem Good Luck

Step 1: Swallow your pride, forget your embarresment, GO SEE A DOCTOR.

Had them for years.. Was afecting my life[LOTS of blood, pain, embarresment etc.]. Finally just bit the bullet and went for the op. PAINFULL but well worth it. Now I can function normally, should have done it years ago.

They now have system for treating roids. They use a vacuum to pull the offending vein into a tapered tube and then slip a small constricting oring over it. Nearly no pain and the roid basically dies and drops off in a few days with no bleeding.. i believe it is caled the reagan treatment. See the doc-its not worth the inconvenience to wait.

Seeing that Reagan was a hemorrhoid, it is an appropriately named procedure. I had it done also but not the Reagan procedure. Hemorrhoidectomy and it worked. Have not had them since.

I had one that I call my life-saving heamarrhoid. Referred by my doctor to a hospital appointment for banding, the consultant had a quick look inside with a sigmoidoscope to check for internal ones and spotted a polyp (pre-cancer) that was removed before it caused any trouble.

But don't flush your babywipes! They're becoming a major problem in London sewers because they don't disintegrate like paper does. Combined with other stuff that shouldn't be there (like kitchen fat and Q-tips) they're causing major blockages.
