I saw this today. Maybe its just old fashioned character assassination, but I learned more about Henry that I didn't know before. See for yourself. All I know is he's certainly not the greatest actor in the world, that 's for sure, and if it wasn't for his looks, his accent and his bod, he would be where he is today. (rant over)

You dismissed Henry dating a girl who was 14 years younger than him, just because she passed the appropriate age line by 2 years? Henry dated her for a year before they broke up so when they began, she was 18. Her first year being considered an "adult". With your mentality, she was fine to be approached at 18 but if she was just a year younger, you would frown in disgust? It's gross.

I completely agree with you. This artibary age of consent we live by is somewhat messed up. If she's 16 and the guy is 21, he's a pervert and should be ashamed. But, she reaches 18, now he's 23. Nobody cares. All is good. There is still a 5 year age gap. Just be 18+, all fine no matter if the other was around during the Ming dynasty

If he met her when she was like 16 and waited until she was of age then that's very bad but if he met her when she was 18 or 19 then they're both consenting adults regardless of the age gap, not every relationship you have needs to be a deep thing that you'll consider doing for the rest of your life, sometimes you just want to have fun with someone and time will tell how long it lasts and that's how I feel like most relationships with big age gaps are.
When I was 18 me and most of my friend group were moving out to go to college, taking care of our own things, I feel like these whole "18 year olds are not mature enough" discourse always comes from people who had to face no responsibilities at that age cause they still had their parents to take care of everything for them.
