I think most of us just expected one great butt shot. Netflix, bathtub scene, Henry in fantastic shape, female showrunner...seemed like a certain possibility. I rarely expect to see full frontal from actors or actresses.

I think for an actor there's a lot of internal factors that go into the decision making process for whether to "go for nudity" or not, and this production just doesn't' feel like it would be worth if for him to "go there" .....so far from what i've seen this seems pretty forgettable, (but i'm not witcher schooled so maybe it's great to see the story in film for true fans?)

HC (and i'm sure his management) are navigating career shaping (ending) choices, unless you're Michael Fassbender or Tom Hardy or even Jamie Dornan, who just go balls out in every role in every way, most other actors have to tow a more delicate line. Love to see more (all) of HC's amazing bod, but have to respect his decision in this case to leave it at that.

I do feel like I’m beating a dead horse by complaining at this point however I genuinely that that this show would be a game changer for HC but it just feels like a lot of the same.

Maybe the female show runner didn't push for that because she felt it would be some kind of #metoo hypocrisy after decades of male show runners promoting female nudity in their work? Ironically she ends up exploiting the female actor more than the male....The Entertainment industry is full of counter intuitive psychology that robs us of true artistic vision!

On the other hand HC has to know the clock is ticking , he's not going to have this body forever and if he's going to bare it all , now is primetime! Henry if you're listening......

If you needed any more incentive to go watch (rewatch) The Tudors...you get to see these two......if you ignore the girls it's an amazing gay love story. (we all know they just slept with women to produce heirs back then anyway)

All of his movies are action movies that feel the same
So henry is going the same way
I guess henry wants the same genre as The rock or Tom cruise, action movies with no sex scenes or nudity, sometimes shirtless scenes and that's all

yeah i agree, it's all about being the safest most bankable star for the biggest franchises, i almost think of The Rock as asexual, he's like a disney character , though he's had occasional scenes, the net effect is nothing even mildly erotic even springs to mind.

HC can't help but be sexy AF, but i think he aspires to a similar blockbuster status, so he plays it safe. HC does "Butch" extremely well...(from MI6 and netflix SandCastle)

yup i just finished watching it, anya and her character yennefer were the only redeeming part of this show.

Just watched episode four and now I'm at the halfway point I can definitely say this show is very badly written. Geralt himself says "Destiny helps people believe there's an order to this horseshit" and that just sums it up really. Ironically though Henry really nailed it this episode so I think how good he is depends on how good or bad the writing for his character is
