I found the following message in my g-mail box today:

Hi guys, i'm Sergio owner and administrator of the Celeb Archive (homocaine).

The domain name that hosted the Celeb Archive (www.homocaine.com) has been censored and closed definitely from the Mantainer during the night of 27th July 2006. The reason depends on some users' uploads in a folder depicting a famous celebrity in the nude while he was still under the legal age of 18, Lawyers representing the mentioned celebrity sued the Celeb Archive (me) for hosting pedo-pornographic pictures.

To solve this dangerous situation the hosting company decided to deleted all the pictures and the complete website of the Celeb Archive.

Now i'm working to restart the website, all the 30,000 pictures have been lost but I have backup copies of the software engine, I'll upload about 10,000 pictures at the beginning but we'll have to wait some months to have back our loved website.

THE WEBSITE WILL BE AVAIBLE AT THIS ADDRESS http://www.thecelebarchive.net or http://www.celebarchive.org starting September the 10th.
All the credits and usernames, newsletter subscribed will be still avaible. The new e-mail address is ca@thecelebarchive.net for any fourther detail.

Thank you for supporting this project and see you soon on the Celeb Archive.
Sergio

This makes it all the more important that all LPSG members make sure that we post, or link to, only adult pics. Please be diligent, folks, and report any suspicious-looking links or pics on the board.

Yep, I think we need that enshrined in 3-foot-high letters somewhere... if people are uncertain re: celebrities or porn models, then they really should remember that google has birthdates for most everyone (even for Zsa Zsa Gábor, based on carbon dating) and it should take about 5 seconds to check in most cases prior to posting. And when in doubt: don't post!!! Several celebrity picture forums now have stickies to this effect, with those who post images of under-18s subject to an immediate ban.

The reason for reporting users who are under 18 also becomes all the clearer, and while some people hark back to a time when LPSG could be an informative site for adolescents too... in the current climate (with numerous fundie-associated fucktards actively looking for ways to get sites closed down), that is no longer a viable option.

A major word here being ANY. This is no time to pick and choose who we wish to report because some 'personalities' are just so 'charming'. I mentioned this a few weeks (months?) ago when someone claimed to be under 18 and was immediately attacked. So go on ahead and make the attacks and whereas I won't report it to the Feds someone else most likely will and then the hack sign we saw last week will be replaced with a message about the site no longer being in existence.
