Hey LPSG,

I'm taking a vacation in Seattle from today until May 10. I'm all for having fun, though it doesn't have to involve multiple large penises (penes?? penii?) or anything. I'm just here having some fun. I'm with a friend, but anyway I'm up for suggestions on cool places to see/visit in downtown Seattle.

I've done Pike Place Market and Space Needle is on the to-do list. Anyway, get at me if you got ideas or some free time to kill with a straight hung LPSGer.

Experience music project, and science fiction museum. Museum of fight. Boeing tour of the big pant in Everette. Hoh rain forest on the peninsula is one of only a few temperate rain forests in the world. Long ferry ride up through the San Juan islands is gorgeous this time of year. Pick up a copy of "The Stranger" and " Seattle News" free at one of the sidewalk kiosks for music, plays, activities going on. Much depends on what things you are in to, but there are a few suggestions. If you give your main interests we locals can likely direct you better. I hope you have fun---you seemed to have brought some nice weather with you :)

Was in Tucson in Nov.. but live here. davidjh7 is right.. better advice if we take your interests (or where you're staying) into account.

I'm something of a foodie.. so will tend to point you to things like "Jacks Fish Spot" (for lunch) or "Maxamilion" (For happy hour) in the market..

But whatever.. Penis can be tasty too..

If this isn't too late, take the ferry to Winslow, late afternoon, have a great dinner there, then, at sunset, take the ferry back, and see the skyline light up. Be sure to look down at the water from the bow. You are likely to see dolphins. They love to frolic in the wake.

Hey folks. Returning to Tucson tomorrow. I wanted to thank the fellas on this thread and the others who sent me a couple of PMs about where to go in Seattle. I didn't have a rental car and I basically stuck to getting around by foot. Managed to cover a lot of ground anyway!

The details:
  • Space Needle: Not paying $19 to go up and down it. I took a picture.
  • EMP: It's not an electromagnetic pulse? Damn it. No thanks.
  • Just Crepes: Found it on the walk to the Needle. It was fun walking under the monorail tracks. Ate a crepe with Nutella, bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream.
  • Pike Place Market: Overkilled, but that was my friend's fault. He got shwarma (sp?) there every fucking day.
  • Length of Time I Can Tolerate Folks: 2 days, maybe 3.
  • Service: People who serve you food and coffee tend to be extra helpful and friendly; I was almost taken aback by this.
  • Miner's Landing: Carnival rides, beautiful views of the Sound, and lots of seafood. And a giant ferris wheel. For $13. I took a picture of it too.
  • Ezell's: Was told to get the fried chicken. Found a truck with its advertising on it. Took a picture, of course.
  • Gameworks: I kicked my friends' asses at some Hummer racing game. We found a 100-credit card and spent it unapologetically.
  • Club Nocnoc: Bartender knew how to pour drinks very, very strong. Friend got so drunk he had the spins on the way home. Almost threw up in bed. Made me add extra pillows to the pillow barrier between us. Wuss. Oh, and don't ask where to get cocaine; it's a sore spot for them.
  • Conference Geeks: Will get incredibly drunk, make sexual jokes; will confess about liking anal sex and wanting threesomes with other girls. By the way, super metro husband's got a big dick too. I should've told him about this site. DID tell him about my dick. I got a high five and a free shot.
  • Triple Door: Bluegrass died and gone to hell here.
  • Corner Bar: Mississippi Mules. I've died and gone to heaven here.
  • Yelp: Is terrible at reviews; apparently lies too.
  • Weather: Sun will wait until 2, 3, 4pm to come out. Always carry a hoodie. Always.
  • Capitol Hill: Best gelato on 12th and some other street. A piccolo cup is more than enough. Salted caramel. Delicious.
  • First Hill: I'm sensing a theme...
  • Seattle University: Tinier than I thought...
  • It's Moonsoon Season: I'm very proud of Jinxx Monsoon. Got a copy of the Stranger with her on the cover.
  • Ski Slope Hills: Are you all trying to be San Francisco on purpose?

Verdict: Very fun, would come again, but glad to go back home.
