Anyone here been to a high school reunion and then started a relationship with, or married someone that you "re-met" long after your school years?

I just got back from my 10 year reunion and there is one girl who i simply can't get off my mind. She makes a brief reappearance in my life 10 years later and she's still having the same effect on me ... and shes still single.

Unfortunately we live in two different states but we've started talking emailing back and fourth.

I'm just wondering if anyone else has encountered this situation?

Thanks

Just had a reunion last night,30 years. I was surprised how many people looked the same, save for aging, but others were unrecognizable. No thoughts of hooking up.

No old flames, but an old buddy of mine, a skirt chaser in HS, is now gay and began telling me of his exploits around the globe. He travels extensively for work.

A good night out, can wait another 10 years to do it again.

These days my class reunions are at the funeral home.

Too true, but I realized from the last meet, how much I really care for some of the people, most who I ignored because I had personal problems and didn't want to get involved.

Time is a good healer for people, should you allow it to happen.

No, no one came onto me, or I to them. That time was gone.

I haven't, but two of my HS Frat buddies did. I was even best man in one of the
weddings after the reunion. One of the guys has been divorced for a few years
and the other lost his wife about 8 or 9 years ago in an auto accident. Both of
them reconnected with old girl friends at the reunion.

I also know of some others that re-found old gfs/bfs at my university reunion and
have gotten married since.

Go for it, man....if it's right, don't waste any more time!

I went to one,but I found with the passage of time and distance that the friendships I had in HS had faded to only old memories. We had little in common as adults. It was an ego boost from the stand point that I did not let my self go to seed as many had.

I've never been to a class reunion.
Mostly it's geography at work ... I live a continent away from the town in which I attended high school.
I'm half curious about what it would be like to attend one ... and half certain that I would have nothing much in common with people who, like me, have moved on in nearly every way.
Still, if I found myself in the vicinity (not at all likely), I would gladly take one in.

I've run into various former girlfriends at high school reunions. (I live about 30 miles away from where I went to hs).

Usually, it's just sit and chat time. But at one reunion, my freshman gf and I found ourselves in a nice quiet corner and started making out like old times. Then we went to her house, and the sex was even better than I remembered it...and no worrying about her parents walking in on us!

that's really funny, but not at the same time...

to the OP: I haven't attended any of my reunions yet, but I wish you the best! I do know people who have gotten together after HS reunions...one couple even got married...tragically the husband died in his sleep less than a year later...

but that serves to show that life is too short to worry about what may or may not happen...it's best to go after any happiness you can, while you can!

I haven't gone to one, and don't really care to either. It's funny how the opinions people that seemed so important then, were meaningless after graduation. The follies of youth.
