anybody read or reading this wonderful series?

i'm probably belated on all of the controversy, but i see this alternate view of Christianity to be quite interesting. gay angels, the truth behind "the Authority" and so on...

i'm currently on the last chapters of the final book, The Amber Spyglass, but i almost stopped reading when i read such a touching yet totally heartbreaking chapter. i was surprised how much i was affected by it.

I've read The Golden Compass and just bought The Subtle Knife. I'm currently reading another book so will start that right after.

I was surprised (in the first book) how philosophical it was, since it's considered a children's book. It's the kind of "children's book" that adults can also enjoy though, very complex.

(but then, I even like kids' books that are NOT like that, and are for younger children! I'm still a big fan of Dr. Seuss! :biggrin1:)
