Born Henry McCarty in 1859, used the name William H. Bonney and died in 1881.

Possible third Billy the Kid photo. Was offered for $5M a few years back. Not sure what it sold for. The New Mexico schoolhouse in the photo is still standing.

The character leaning nonchalantly on his croquet mallet is indeed Billy the Kid. The photo is believed to have been taken in 1878 at the wedding of Charlie Bowdre, one of Billy's gang known as The Regulators, at the ranch of their boss John Tunstall. The bride and groom are on horses on the right of the picture.

update:
The photo was passed down through the family of Bonney's friend Dan Dedrick for generations and in 2011 it sold for a record $2.11 million – setting a record as the world's second (?) most expensive photograph.

Charles C. Ebbets, photographer for one of the most iconic images of all time, “Lunchtime atop a Skyscraper” taken in 1932. Ebbets was a true-blood daredevil. His biography tells of his earlier stints working as a stuntman in Hollywood, as well as an actor in the mid 1920s. He also had many other jobs including pilot, “wing-walker”, auto racer, wrestler, and hunter. This must had nerves of steel.

Ramon made a nice looking midshipman.
