I'm sure I'm not the only one here who saw it, I hope I'm not the only one who took a towel. I really enjoyed it, they did the narration really well, and I loved the style they used for the guide.

Reading the book is like reading scripture: you find something new each time.

"The knack of flying is learning how to throw yourself at the ground and miss."

Now what's the question? The question, of course, is "What is six times nine?" (It's base-13.)

I was disappointed, my favorite line from the book wasn't used in the movie.

"You'd better be prepared for the jump to hyperspace, it's unpleasantly like being drunk"

"What's so unpleasant about being drunk?"

"You ask a glass of water."

Enjoyed the movie a great deal. Enjoyed some of the changes in the characters and storyline. Was disappointed they never explained why a towel is so important to have along, despite the fact that Ford is constantly going on about having it. If you've never read the books, that is sure to be a lingering question.

I did like some of the Easter Eggs in the film, like seeing the Marvin robot from the TV series in one scene. Another was the very last form the ship took was Douglas Adams' face before the "For Douglas" credit appeared at the end. I'm told there were more. I have to see it again and look for them.

Did anyone else notice any others?
