...You must tell your housemate 'taupe' is the gayest colour on the planet...it's kind of an 'ironic' shade of pink...basically it's a 'straight acting and appearing' fuscia...

Well, your gay card just got revoked. Taupe is not pink, it's brown.

Taupe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Considering the fact that every public space in the house (except the bathroom) is painted in shades of taupe that he picked out, I have to agree with Arthur that, at least in certain lights (and especially in the all-taupe kitchen) it indeed appears a softish blush

I spent 25+ years as a professional in the home fashions industry: selling, buying, designing, etc. When I first was introduced to it at the height of the black-&-gray boom of the 80s, it was described as "brown next to gray and gray next to brown". But even at its earthiest mushroominess, taupe really is a butched-up blushy sort of pink in man-drag.

I should add that he **loves** to accessorize all that taupe with purple, which somehow passes his "masssculine" smell test.

Sorry, l ... but your irony card just got revoked.

100% str8 - of course both of you are, coz your don't 'look' like a queer boi -
and in case you didn't realise I am in line to be the next Pope.
Come on you only (trying to) kid yourself.

You want to get off with the guy and he wanted to get off with you - act you age and say Hi - and take it from there. But whatever get real.

Right viewers?!? Has anybody guessed who Bbucko's Special Guest 'What's My Line' Mystery Housemate is?!?! Anybody?!? Well, from the clues, and it's only off the 'taupe with purple accent soft furnishings' that cemented it for me...but I think it's.....and here goes....Bob Mackie?!?! No?!! *I was gonna guess Carson Kressley....but in the end I opted out for Carson appears too 'massssculine'...or then again it could be Carmen Ghia. But alas I think that reference is lost on too many?!?

For those viewers (these might be the 100% straight contingent of the LPSG), *who are not familiar with Bob Mackie, google him, read, learn!!! For once you have studied Bob Mackie1001...you'll be able to answer all your own questions?!? You'll automatically know what to do when a fella is shaking his semi at you from the shower across the way at the Y?!? Or perhaps know how to deal with *an overtly, in your face,*'femme boy' (over here we just burn them by the peroxide of their own wigs)...and finally you will know whether your 'gay or not' if you like*sucking cock till you've dislocated your jaw like a common python and practically digesting your adams apple...

I think it's pretty simple. Most people go to the gym to workout, the library to read, the mall to shop, etc. If you see someone and want to smile, say hi and see where it goes...nothing wrong with it. It's the guys who "WON'T TAKE NO" for an answer that piss me off. Stalking, following, looking at someone after they clearly are not interesting is insulting.

Hey guys cheers for the helpful responses.
I don't see why some people are getting offended as I didn't say anything offensive.
I saw him again last night and he smiled but it was as i was entering the changing rooms and as he was leaving. Next time I'll strike up a convo see when he's next doing spin and get chatting =)

Carmen Ghia is a fictional character from the 1968 Mel Brooks comedy The Producers played by Andréas Voutsinas, its 2001 Broadway show The Producers by Roger Bart, and the 2005 musical film The Producers also by Roger Bart.

Actress "Anne Bancroft recommended Andréas Voutsinas, a fellow performer at the Actors Studio, for the role of the waspish Carmen Ghia..."

Bart said of his role: "As Carmen Ghia I was a sprinter. This guy is like a long-distance runner. I sometimes think to myself, 'Should I have stayed Carmen?'"

Carmen Ghia is Roger De Bris' "common-law assistant".
They are both gay and they love to flounce around their Upper East Side town house.

^^ does that make sense to anybody in relation to the topic? ^^
I think people have moved on to more interesting and entertaining subjects.

But to answer your question, it makes about as much sense in relation to the topic as you claiming 100% straight status.

Particularly as a casual scan of your post history reveals an obsession with asking specifically guys to comment on your cock, commenting on other guys' hot bodies and hot cocks, jacking off to gay porn, trying to hook up with guys for sex, saying you want to get fucked, etc., and nary a mention of or interaction with the ladies.

Though curiously and inexplicably it appears that at some point along the way you increased your straight quotient from 99% to 100%.

Seriously, get real.

my answer - -as said here prior -- have a cup of coffee -- meet new peeps! as a theoretically straight guy here (!!) (married!) -- hey you might get lucky -- shit, if you have a wife -- bring him home -- if you don't -- see where it goes -- bring him home!

Here's my take on this. I go to the gym 5 days a week. Ignore the gay/straight percentage ratio and focus on the guys behavior. I know some very gay guys that go to my gym that wouldn't even consider looking at someone else junk in the shower, however discreetly, let alone smile or wink. There's a thing called gym etiquette. When you have a large group of naked men in the same room, you tend to keep eyes forward (peripheral vision excepted). If a guy is deliberately making eye contact with you in the shower, and smiling at you (unless he's already a good friend), there's a very good chance he's doing it on purpose to test your reaction. Basically, he's giving you an opportunity to encourage him to continue. If you're interested, next time you see him say something basic that he can't take offense to, like "how are you doing today?" and see how the conversation develops. If he's interested in more than friendship, he'll let you know eventually. if he isn't, you might make a new friend. Win/win either way.

I'm mostly straight, but have had my share of experimenting with the same sex. I can usually tell when someone is checking me out. If I'm intersted, I respond; if not, I ignore. When I see someone that turns me on, I smile or glance in their direction, quickly and discretly. Nothing obvious, but enough that someone interested would know, but not enough that someone not interested would be offended (no drooling). The clues are subtle, but if you get a reaction more than once, it isn't a coincidence. The key is to not doing anything offensive. You don't want to have your gym membership revoked ;-)

For those of you that took offense to the original post, I did too when I first read it. But, don't forget that it's hard to determine intent from a written conversation. It misses tone, inflection, body language, etc. Let's give him the benefit of the doubt.

And cut the guy some slack about his own gay/straight ratio. I know I've fluctuated back and forth on mine a time or two. It's like penis size. You can't know exactly where you fit in the mix until you have something to compare it to (which this site is excellent for). If he's in a little denial, so what, he'll figure it out eventually on his own without everyone rammming it down his throat (figuratively speaking). Isn't that one of the advantages of this site-a place to learn more about ourselves by hearing other people's stories and experiences?

Yes, maybe, but some of us just get tired of the guys who think sexual orientation is something you can just put on like a polo shirt, and it has nothing to do with your actual sexual activities or desires.

We especially get tired of the guys who claim 99-100% straight, and all they talk about is cocks, sucking cocks, getting fucked, etc. It's especially galling when they make homophobic comments.

The OP's been here nearly two years, and the tone of his posts are pretty consistently gay.
So when do you think "he'll figure it out"?

Haha! Very good point. I'm new to the site, so don't even know how to check history. But I would agree that 2 years is enough to figure it out. Especially as this is one of the few places you can be totally honest without fear of repercussions. Hell, no-one even knows who you really are! I'm amazed at how open people are on this site. I wish had some people in my "real" life I could he as open with about my sexuality...
