I'm not sure of any actual damage that could be done but bruising to the cervix could be misdiagnosed as something more serious.

Bottoming out can cause inflammation that would result in more white blood cells being in vaginal excretions. It's not a big deal at all but it can cause a pap to come back inconclusive, as extra WBCs can be a sign of something more serious.
