i have had a breif style jock with a hard cup for a yr now and im not happy with it. any help?

If you don't like the kind you have now, maybe try a more traditional non-full brief more open jock strap, lighter with less material and an open back:

I am all for Jock Straps, but I don't really get why people wear them. I play Volleyball on a team, and from what I know, none of us wear them because we just wear our Board shorts while we're playing.
Do athletes wear them so nothing rides up or what?
That's probably a stupid question, I just never got why guys wear them. I personally never have run into a situation where I need one.

Is it giving you the protection that you need? If not, try some other product. So many jock products to choose from... Don't be short-changed on them.

always wore a regular jock and cup when playing..and then a garter for the socks in addition. never like the all in ones for jock and socks...could never get the right fit for the jockstrap and cup with the sox pulling on it. maybe it was me. but I liked my cup snug and my sox not pulling my shorts downward! I wore a Banana Cup..deepest roomiest I could find. never liked the Jaffa hockey cup...really..what a small cup!!!

I guess the question is what was the problem with what you've been wearing. Is it a comfort issue? Is it a more aesthetic issue? Improper fit?
