During the Holiday Season our local TV Station runs three of animated shorts.

1. Frosty the Snowman

2. Suzzie Snowflake

3. Hardrock, and Coco, and Joe.

Anyone else know these three?? They are black and white.
I have not thought of Suzy Snowflake in years , thanks for the reminder.

How about my LEAST favorite Holiday Song recording. This one makes me want to stick knitting needles in my eyes.
Unfortunately, my husband is a Huge Babs fan and regularly subjects me to this torture.

Jingle Bells Barbra Streisand
I do the same thing to my other half, count your blessings; sometimes I act out the song and sing and dance around the room when it's playing!

That's exactly why I like it. Maybe I'm just weird
But I really love "classic" Christmas songs, sung by choirs- see my other posts

Oooh, I love that one too, but it's always felt ominous and creepy o me - doesn't really fit with other Christmas music.

We're weird together then

Me too - they make me feel all shivery. I'm not terribly into the modern ones that many others have mentioned (except for the Southpark ones).

Ah, Xhristmas, the most wonderful time of the year. And how could I forget my favourite Christmas song ever?

Bing Crosby- I'm dreaming of a white Christmas

And Frank Sinatra- Santa Claus is coming to town (only found a video with Cindy Lauper???)

A few years back, I compiled my favorite versions of Christmas songs into a 4-CD mix that traditionally came out every year at Thanksgiving, being played after dinner while dessert and coffee were being served. Here are some of my favorites from the mix. Since this is from YouTube, listen to the songs, but ignore the videos.

:)

(And yes, atheists can love the holiday as well...there's a lot to it that has nothing to do with christianity.)

Heart(Ann & Nancy Wilson) -- Ave Maria

I could keep going, but........you get the idea. I love "pop" renditions of Christmas songs from various decades.

That twinge in your intestines
Based on sales and airplay:

1. White Christmas - Bing Crosby - 1942
2. Silent Night - Bing Crosby - 1936
3. Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer - Gene Autry - 1949
4. The Little Drummer Boy - Harry Simeone Chorale - 1958
5. Jingle Bell Rock - Bobby Helms - 1957
6. The Christmas Song - Nat King Cole - 1946
7. The Chipmunk Song - David Seville and the Chipmunks - 1958
8. Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree - Brenda Lee - 1958
9. Blue Christmas - Elvis Presley - 1957
10. Jingle Bells - Bing Crosby / The Andrews Sisters - 1943

Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole are two of my heroes, and I'm tickled to see both of them on the list.
