Little Drummer Boy has always been a fine Christmas song. Unfortunately it has frequently served as a lead-in for a medley of lesser tunes like Grandma Got Runover by a Reindeer. David Bowie and Bing Crosby collaborated using it before David launched into a disharmonious Peace on Earth. Here a predecessor to The Partridge Family lip-synced a studio version for roughly a minute-and-a-half on The Ed Sullivan Show. Disregard the manufactured, saccharine sweet family scene from the sixties, these family members could harmonize like The Beach Boys.
